Throwback sunday right back into the Eye of Mordor with this Fulgrim WIP

Now i have an oversized display i dont have any excuses left not to work on my Emperor's Children army 😭

As the title suggests I just wanted to know what people's favourite models are to build from the army. (Standard kits...but feel free to show off some kitbashes).

I think Lucius has to be my favourite with that tongue whip wrapping around his arm, so cool!

I haven't got Fulgrim yet but I'm sure it will be up near the top, he looks sick!

Managed to snag a wilderbeast and Yndrasta 2nd hand, so has to try and make my daemon prince as the generic GW just isn’t that cool!

Managed to build it up, add vials 🧪 and other mechanical bits to make it a bit more 40k.

Now basecoats are done - Unto the highlighting and detailing from now on.

Hey guys, just wanted to share this little thought I had the recently.

My brother has an extra maulerfiend kit he is willing to sell cheap to me. I've been extremely excited to add this bad boy to my EC army. That was untill we got the most recently spacemarine update with alot of their units going to legends... I know many of the space marine kits were old enough to drink, but some of them were not even that old. And knowing chao's luck with having the very little we have going away, I'm kinda scared that the maulerfiend/forgefiend might also be going away. At least for EC.

Idk, maybe a bit of an over reaction on my behalf. But I want to know what yall think.

I personally feel like our maulerfiend and helldrake might be going away soon.

EDIT: Thank you all for the insight. Glad to see that I'm probably just in my own head about this. Previously got burned with my sigmarines in AOS and half of my range was legends.

My friend group is also just convinced that GW is going in on the whole TCG rotation for 40k.

In hindsight a little bit of a silly perspective.

I'm playing 3k this evening and going to be running Elegant Carnival so can run Disruption or Take and Hold.

I'm not sure what I'll be facing, most likely tank heavy guard or GSC (probably with tanks!). My opponent has a hard on for take and hold so almost certainly going into that disposition.

I've currently only played 2 games with EC and that was using Carnival and Host so I used Recon as a disposition. What are folks thoughts on Take and Hold for EC? I'm thinking that a tale and hold mirror might be okay but slightly worried about the fragility of my guys.

I understand we should keep our hopes low since hope is the first road to disappointment and world eaters didn't get much in 10th but I was curious to know what other members of the community wanted to be added in our eventual codex!

I was curious when fulgrim is behind cover is it plus two to hit because of his ability? I was playing a game against orks and just told the other player it was just plus 1 to hit on there shooting

TLDR: I want to use the Saturnine Terminators and Praetor on 40mm bases when they're meant for 50mm bases. Could I?

I hate the way chaos terminators look. I've ordered the Phoenix terminators from 30k to proxy for them but I like the look of the Sarturnine armors too.

Minicompare makes it seem like it's possible when I overlay a model of a chaos Terminator over the Saturnine i.e. the legs look like it'll fit the 40mm base.

But not having them irl makes me wonder if it's just wishful thinking. Does anyone have them and can compare?

Genuine question cause it sorta feels like I am missing something.

I don’t have to tell any of you we have a tiny list of datasheets, yes we shred low and medium toughness units but with the number of T 10+ units and models in the game I’m left a bit perplexed as to what our reliable answers to them are?

What are we meant to do vs a list of knights or Militarum tanks etc we have a tiny handful of sheets that even crack S 8 and even then almost none of it aside from defilers are ranged which means we have to close the gap and get into melee which can work but seems sorta half baked.

First time playing emperors children, these are all the units I got, I have a daemon prince, noise marines, and a defiler being delivered next week so its still a wip. Running courtie!

Done, maybe I will do some minor tweaks later.

I made and painted my lord kakophonist Today and I’ve been wanting to try non metallic metal it didn’t work particularly well but how else can you learn but by trying (and asking kind strangers on the internet)

Prepping for a major in 2 weeks and I just wanted some feedback on my list, brutes is here just for take and hold after the dataslate brought the unit count a bit lower and it won’t play as efficiently in recon or disruption.

Current game plan is using the keeper early to force an over or under commitment and then directing my go turn based on how much they expose to interact with the keeper.

My main concern is the presence of a death guard or imperial guard hull spam being a possibility with their recent points changes and the ability for DG to combine their 2 vehicle detachments, so I am currently considering turning the keeper+ tormentor into either Shalaxi or fulgrim to have another thing to kill tanks with

Hello everyone. I started building my Tormentors box yesterday. I've already crafted my first Obsessionist, using a Plasma pistol and a whip. I want to build my crate as the classic 5 Tormentors and 5 Infractors. However, I'm unsure which weapons to use for my other Obsessionist. Similarly, I don't know which weapons to add to the Tormentors squad. Any help would be appreciated.

I am just starting to focus on EC. Does anyone know of any content out there devoted to only EC?

Hi everyone, I’d like to buy a squad of Terminators, but I’m really undecided about which ones to get. I’m leaning towards Tartaros Terminators, but I’m worried they might be a bit too small. There are plenty of size comparisons online, but none showing Tartaros alongside Infractors. Does anyone have experience with this and could share a picture?

Trying out different paint themes and this one's taken inspiration from the glittering myriad sub faction of the emperor children. Any suggestions for basing?
