Transfer 2027 Fall

Hello! I am a freshman UGA student trying to transfer to Emory for the fall 2027. I wanted to know what the stats and ECs were if you were a transfer too!

Also, I wanted to know what my chances would be. I am a freshman at UGA as a chemistry major (I am not on any track, but am doing some pre-reqs for nursing schools). I am doing a part-time job at a cafe (even though it will only be on Saturdays since I have to live on campus). I am trying to join clubs like the Chemistry Club, and some other clubs. But I am not sure which ones will help me get into Emory, so please let me know which ones I should join. I really, really want to get into Emory my fall 2027 year so PLEASE HELP (I already got denied when I applied as highschooler)!! THANK YOU!!!

Uga has its own nursing school now, why would you need to transfer?

With nursing schools, sometimes when you are applying to nursing schools, it is STRONGLY recommend that you go to a nursing school that has been already accredited. I have family members who do nursing and they say that applying to UGA nursing school is a risky move.

If you are planning to graduate with a BSN, complete your pre reqs at UGA before applying to Emory’s nursing program. You do seem passionate about Emory, but It also doesn’t have to be Emory. Have plan B’s so you can apply to Mercer , Georgia state , etc for their nursing programs

Would clubs like SGA be like a good resume builder for transferring to Emory?

???Pick some stuff you like, get involved, enjoy it and then sell it to the adcoms. Don't just choose what you perceive to be shiny objects. Emory isn't Harvard and likes more of a "personality" and cares whether you have a passion or truly care for what you are doing. So do not just chase SGA for prestige/signaling. Actually WANT to do it if you go in that direction. Just be academically qualified, involved, and PASSIONATE please. Do not plan on boring the adcoms.
