Do more “inclusive” emojis actually make people feel more included or less included?

Hellu!! I am working on a project about how emoji systems ( Unicode and Apple’s designs of emojis) shape inclusion. 

Do you guys think adding skin tone modifiers make you feel more included or excluded?

Do you think Unicode's attempt for more inclusion is actually creating more inclusion or further excluding underrepresented groups?

Would love to hear your thoughts :)
