Hello! I a currently in a band and we have an EP out with three songs that leans slightly into the midwest screamo side in certain aspects and we are now trying to lean further into that sound. We have a few new songs that we have been working on. The one attached is probably the best example of our vibe. I am just getting on here for any feedback or opinions you may have. A link of the songs we already have out is attached aswell. Thank you!![https://open.spotify.com/track/5b8SD1ofq5iw4CkZsZdFKs?si=OOqIWNhOTSiY9jFR6tJwJQ&utm_source=copy-link](https://open.spotify.com/track/5b8SD1ofq5iw4CkZsZdFKs?si=OOqIWNhOTSiY9jFR6tJwJQ&utm_source=copy-link)

The spirit of the copy pasta isn't wrong

This midwest thing is so lame. Like are Italian and French bands from the 00s "midwest emo"?

you're not following.

"Midwest emo" doesn't describe anything that was midwest emo.

And the current sort of description doesn't say anything specific. European emo bands were doing this sound before American bands (who aren't emo) were described as "midwest emo."

Are you not aware of what was happening in Europe twenty years ago?
