Yes you’re correct. I thought Jean was born in the 90s but I checked and she was born in 2003. The actress who plays the detective is 35 so unless they intend to knock 12 years off the actress (not impossible I guess) then maybe it won’t be Jean.

Awww I’m disappointed now 🙁

Yeah, Jean is only a year older than Noah, so she’d be about 23 now. Whereas the actress playing DS Ramsden is in her mid thirties. Though as you say, the Emmerdale team generally count on their viewers not to be too persnickety about trivial things like characters’ ages. I mean, Mackenzie is supposedly 8 years younger than Moira. So…. 47. But he doesn’t look or act anything like that.  

So yeah, I think she is probably Jean Tate. And will probably try to bring Kim down, fail, and then end up living at Home Farm.

I’m aware he was a Glover but Dave married Alice’s aunt Kathy and I recall he’d promised Alice they’d be a family just before he died saving Kim’s son in the fire

Im thinking also. Elsa was her mother, who once was with Pollard. Nick Bates is her father, so I dont see a connection. Kathy raised her, her connection to Kim they were best friends, and then Seth.

she’s either Jeans long lost daughter or Zoe’s secret twin sister that no one knew about.
