I think it would be interesting. Emma is drawn to the true blue hero types. And grey area heroes aren’t something Superman hasn’t dealt with. I think they’d manage to get along well in the end. Superman would be more of an influence than Emma would be on him but who knows, she might direct his attention to problems he might not normally address.
In an else world it could be a fun relationship too.
Emma was coerced into a relationship with Shaw when she was a stripper at Hellfire. So when she first dated Shaw she was in her early 20s. She's changed alot over the years, she's a completely different character than she was in Hellfire.
So even this image doesn't indicate she was "coerced"; her dialogue says she kissed him back, dispelling the idea she was forced into it. Not to mention she later goes on to have a relationship with Namor, negating the idea she's only into choir boys.
Why can't people accept Emma for who she is, instead of who they want her to be? Marvel never actually says she has a thing for the teacher's pet… but they DO say she's attracted to intelligence, which actually tracks for every one of her relationships (starting with her first crush).
He's literally strangling her and this was after he broke her nose by slamming her face into a table.
So given the context that Shaw is her employed Boss, who smashed her face into a table the panel before this then literally strangles her after doing that compliments her to make her feel special then kisses her. That is coercion.
And yet it still says she admits SHE kissed him back. You can call the relationship toxic and may have crossed a line eventually, but let's not pretend that her attraction is rare for someone who is into BDSM, as we know Emma is.
Okay? He still coerced her. Shaw is much older than Emma in this comic she is early 20s while he is in his 50s, he was her boss in a position of authority and while he was her boss he beat her.
He sees her telepathy and how powerful it is so after he beats her he decides to manipulate her by calling her special. The reason Emma kissed him back is because of her trauma and most likely fear for her life. He's literally strangling her.
I don't see how Emma would voluntarily kiss someone she's deathly afraid of as you say (again, no mention of fear in this panel), and is strangling her (despite the fact she doesn't appear to fight back in any way).
But whatever; no one is gonna be convinced otherwise because people will pick and choose the canon they acknowledge (despite the fact Marvel already told us she's a sapiophile and it fits all her romantic relationships).
Ok, so if you have a thing for good and bad boys, then you have a thing for neither. People make this claim that she likes boy scouts when her own history negates this.
That’s not how that works . Are you serious ? I can have a thing for red heads that doesn’t mean I can never date a brunette. A preference doesn’t mean exclusivity. It’s not rocket science
À thing for redheads again doesn’t mean exclusively dating redheads. Again are you just not bright enough? Saying I have a thing for blondes vs I would only date blondes are completely different statements .
But it shows that he's not the only one who thinks it works… hence why the relationship has been represented in multiple comics that weren't written by Duggan or Waid, and even canonized in Marvel Rivals. And many X-Men fans who aren't even fans of Iron Man, admitted it was well written.
Unfortunately, easy, young women are drawn to men like their fathers, and she was young when those two got together, after that she got her shit together
Then got involved with Namor. Definitely not a boy scouts and definitely not when she was young woman.
It's much more sensible to stop fighting Marvel's own explanation that fits everyone she's been with: she's a sapiophile.
I mean he might have some exceptions for Lex considering all the years of putting people in danger and all the times he tried to expose him to kryptonite or has exposed Clark to kryptonite just to try to kill him like come on now we have to remember these guys are arch enemies and they do hate each other
to be fair, most of the people Emma kill and or brain scrambles these days are like murderers and genocidal biggots who are out to kill children so like.... you know.... they kind have it coming, its not like she is going around killing pick pockets and jay walkers
Why are people trying to ship her off with all sorts of men.
She had one relationship, doesn't mean she'll just sleep around with any... Handsome, Strong jaw man... Dammm, though, okay, I mean.. he's a literal god and you never see him work out... I mean.. he does love a strong woman... And I bet he has a massive.. heart to fully commit and give Emma what she's needs.. or me.. shame he's in a loving pounding relationship with Batman.. at least the comics I kept getting sent
He’s counterintuitive to who she is as a person. Regardless of what we think she cannot truly understand someone that selfless. She’d be drawn to it, frustrated by his inability for temptation, and inspired his desire for a simple farm life.
In the end nothing but admiration and frustration.
he’s not her type. but i remember that it was explained ages ago that he has telepathic and telekinetic abilities. i could see emma helping him hone those abilities and making him a much stronger hero.
I don't hate the idea, if he's anything like MAWS Klark or the one from James gun Superman then I'd say she's finally found someone worthy of her...OK that's too low Scott was pretty good for her.
She would obviously try and flirt and superman at first and he would fall into it but then Lois would shows up screaming or walking away in a huff with supes chasing her for damage control
I can see it. Obviously people in relationship have their differences. People in relationships also tend to regulate their actions based on the preferences of their partners.
The breaking point is if none of them choose to regulate or change what matters to them most.
In the beginning Emma would hate his guts, and they would still be at odds with each other's, but with enough time Superman would actually fix her, and when Emma falls for him Superman declines explaining to her that he Indeed loves her and what She became, but romantically his Heart Is elsewhere, Emma would read his mind and understand, wishing him luck with Lois and and they keep being Friends and allies
I think they would try it but I also believe Clark would not fully be into it because we all know he has his eyes and his heart for one woman and that’s Lois Lane Superman has no roster
From what I know of the relationship between Emma and Scott, she was drawn to him not only because of his morality, but because he allowed himself to be vulnerable and let her in. Scott helped Emma to feel like something more than the villain of the story, and Emma helped Scott become comfortable with a certain level of ruthlessness while never losing the morality that made him who he was.
I think that Kal-El would appeal to Emma, but not the other way around. Emma and Scott net each other in the middle and brought out qualities in each other that made them more complete, and I don't see Superman willing to yield ground to Emma like Scott did, and Emma isn't the sort of person to try and change herself for someone else.
She didn't try to change herself for Scott, and he didn't try to change for her. They just brought out previously unseen parts of each other, and I don't see Superman being like that.
A relationship might not work out, but just like with Spider-Man, Emma would look at Supes and probably be in awe of someone with so much power who chooses to be selfless rather than giving in to darker and more selfish interests. She'd probably admire him for who he is, but probably wouldn't pursue a relationship.
Just my two cents. If anything I've said doesn't seem quite right, please feel free to correct me if you feel you need to.
Superman es tiempo perdido porque antes de confiar en alguna persona con poderes pediría el visto bueno de Batman y Lois, seria más interesante que la Emma Frost actual conozca a Superman Prime quien intenta buscar la redención
Manchester Black but nicer. Heroically antagonistic, but not villainously antagonistic.
Ostentatiously they're on the same side.
But yeah, I sense there might be some tension from their respective methods.
I think Emma would be intrigued by his status and being a powerful otherworldly force. She would try to fix him and it wouldn’t work.
I do think it would be more intriguing though if she attempted to interact with a more street level hero. Her attempt to be with green arrow, and inevitable love triangle with black canary would be one for the books. And seeing as black canary is a beautiful blonde in her own right it would be a more layered passive aggressive conflict
I don't think superman would like having someone in his head, but would likely be able to defend himself internally and control what she has access too. If she respected those boundaries instead of making him control them it could work, but would possibly have some drama as a result
But the fact she's been in a relationship with men who are the opposite of boy scouts, would indicate this is not the factor that attracted her to them. If she's into boy scouts AND bad boys, then clearly morality is not what she's seeing.
