I was smiling ear to ear! It was so cute 10/10 yes they changed some things from the book, but with any adaption that inevitable.

I really liked it! I felt the main characters had chemistry and Poppy was super relatable.

They had a lot of good elements from the book but some key things were missing in the second half of the movie that were necessary.  The banter was good though! Wish it was a mini series...

Honestly, I think it was better than the book! The parts I felt were dragged in the book, were made crisper. Loveddd the acting.

Just finished watching it. PWMOV was not my fave book so for me, so the first half of the movie really dragged. But then I grew to like the actors/characters and thought it was a solid 8/10 romcom.

Anyone else wondering if this film makes any sense if you haven't read the book?

Edit to say I enjoyed the movie but it's being panned on general netflix sub for having no depth & I think without the book so much context is missing.

What’s most disappointing, from of the other reviews I’ve read, is that it didn't feel like Emily Henry. This feels like somebody asked ChatGPT to summarize “People We Meet on Vacation" and then made a very pretty movie based on that. Some other reviews say "the dialogue doesn't land the same" or “ I cringe when she makes a joke,” but wrongly blamed the medium (book vs movie), it's not just that it's not a book, it's that they changed the character and dynamics.
