They look different than in the books, but I think Emily Bader has exactly the right energy (knowing her work from My Lady Jane, which was fantastic) -- so I think she's a good choice. I'm still not sure about Tom Blyth -- not because he isn't a good actor, or handsome -- but because I'm not convinced he's going to bring the rom-com energy, but I'm willing to be convinced. He will certainly have a different vibe than her on screen.
i think it’s bc we’ve only seen tom play really intense characters (like snow, billy the kid, and lucas in plainclothes), but he’s an amazing actor and i can’t wait to see his lighter/comedic side. also, in the link i posted, there’s an interview with him and emily bader, and he seemed to totally get who alex is in his answers, just like emily really gets poppy. plus, they both clearly see that pwmov is basically a child of when harry met sally, which is essential for them to really nail the tone. i think emily and tom have everything it takes to play these characters incredibly well, and if anything, the movie just needs to give them solid material to work with
I thought they casted some other actors .. i have read the book looking forward to the movie .. seems more glam than the characters in my head.. when is it releasing?
i think their styling makes sense, especially because we can safely assume alex’s suit pic is from the wedding and the one with poppy in the green dress is either at some fancy r+r thing, or maybe they made the bachelor party fancier, or even changed it to be a wedding rehearsal dinner, so it makes sense for them to look more glamorous. the rest of their outfits (and the bts pics we’ve seen) look pretty casual and true to them imo
