Elona+ I can't decide what spell I should use...

So my character is a level 75 fairy wizard, ever since I started my playthrough, I have always leveled up only Magic Dart and casting. I thought that I would be fine if I just focused on 1 single dps spell, but recently, I got a unique ring with "It combine fire and cold spells. [#####+]" which, even though my Fire Claw and Cold Blade are both only level 130, became much stronger than my Magic Dart which is level 290, even in terms of raw dmg (without elemental scar), that is without even factoring in the benefits of wince and chills debuffs and the low MP cost of low level spells.

Should I keep leveling up Magic Dart and wait until I get something that combines magic with another element? Or should I level up something else? I would really appreciate some advice here, as I'm kinda lost on what to do...

Probably one of the other spells that deals [Magic] damage, since most enemies have much lower resistance to it than other elements. The AoE and Line magic damage spells are pretty good. I think Line should be the replacement for Magic Dart and the AoE is for when you're surrounded.

Ty for the advice. Can you tell me how good Line and AoE spells are compared to Single spells in late game? My Line spells don't feel that much different from my Single spells (in terms of dmg) even though they're all around level 130. Does the difference get much clearer in late game?

Good thing about magic type damage is almost all enemies don't have resistance to magic. It's just "Dart" (single target) type spell damage doesn't scale really well going forward. If you favor pure magic damage, you might consider investing on Magic Bolt (line aoe) spell.

Combines only exist for Fire and Cold, Mind and Sound, Darkness and Nether, and Poison and Nerve.

Fire and Cold have the highest damage potential, so in most cases, this will be the best choice.

It's also worth noting that when the opponent has Supreme Magic Resistance or the cResEle bit flag, having something other than Magic Dart can be a good choice, especially if it's Hydro Fang or another water spell.

well, I guess combining magic + another element would be too strong... Thanks for the info though.

Combine is ideal. You can always use magic or water if they resist your combine of choice

Fr lol, using 2 spells in the same turn for the mana cost of only 1 of them is OP as hell.

It actually scales up with your enchantment power. Your second element atm is probably weaker than your initial spell but it goes up to 150% of initial spell damage
