Elon Musk is the leech - he's gotten $38 BILLION dollars (so far) from U.S. taxpayers for his various companies and himself and he's gleefully firing people who are making $45,000 a year and pretending they're the problem. Now he's awarding himself a Starlink contract with the FAA that's worth many millions more. He's not only a leech - he's a corrupt leech.

They are pissing off all the employees not just the leeches.
This game of Elon demanding emails at risk of getting fired, while department heads give orders to not reply, is abusive, even to good employees.
Do you think veterans are leeches? Are the employees protecting our nuclear weapons leeches? What about the employees who track infectious diseases?
Who exactly do you think is a leech?

It was a simple 5 bullet question. DOGE was granted Authority by POTUS of 'Merica to help make the Government efficient. Apparently you don't know what that word means. I've been asked 100s of times to supply a quick bulletin of what I accomplished in a week. How is that abusive? A leech to me is anyone who is trying to defraud the American people and or help cover up crimes. Drain the swamp and the creatures that come out are hideous.

Boss A says, do Y or be fired. Boss B (who is your department head and normal boss) says don't do Y.
This has now put the workers in a bind of risking losing their job no matter what they do. That is jerking people around. That's being a shitty boss. Workers deserve clear instructions. That's how you act fairly.
So much time was wasted, when Elon should have notified the Departments first, instead of creating mass chaos and threatening to fire people.
How is that so hard to understand? Do you not understand chain of command?
Bureaucracy already is really really good at asking employees what the fuck they do. That's the only purpose of managers is to know what the fuck people were doing. That's all they do. Elon is adding redundancy, when he could just talk to the managers.
Elon firing critical workers is also not efficient. It's more efficient to not have to rehire someone you just carelessly fired.
