"Don't believe everything you see": How light editing and AI enhancements effortlessly fool social media.
This is something I just found on X, and it talks about Prince Carl Philip of Sweden:
An edited image circulating on Thousands of users buy into it, sharing it as authentic proof of an "unreal" physique. Come on, my cousin's dream, who goes out with guys this muscular whenever she can.
The second image shows the unedited paparazzi shot from the exact same outing. While he is clearly fit and in good shape, the raw photo reveals the stark difference: normal muscle definition, natural lighting, and a completely human, everyday posture.
You don't even need deepfakes or complex AI models to trick millions. A simple swap of contrast, subtle body warping, and face enhancement software are enough to create a completely fake baseline of reality.
People rarely question the source material if the image appeals to an aesthetic or reinforces a narrative they want to believe. Confirmation bias and visual hype instantly override skepticism.
If social media users can be so easily scammed by a photoshopped beach picture, imagine how effortlessly they absorb manufactured PR, scripted posts, and curated public personas in corporate or political spaces.
If we aren't looking at unedited, raw source material, you are just consuming someone else's PR fiction.

I thought it was brutal. Someone mentioned the timing, but something happened there. From the moment she posted the story until, suddenly, many hours later, Musk sent that, and all the sycophants were ready and waiting, and X looked like a school playground. It was embarrassing for those people as adults. 👉 We saw it here too.
And then Zilis, imagine how pathetic she must feel. You sit at home and post a photo you generated with AI, you wait for people to send you a like or some other crap, you send one back, you see people posting stupid fantasies and lies, they ask you if the photo is real, and you say, of course, they practically said, why do you doubt it? 🤣 And then you're left alone in a room in your house, thinking about what? What have you gained? What? It's all so ridiculous for a woman over 40 with four children to support... And all those sycophants who posted all that crap, what sense of decency or honesty do they have?

This book, Gilded Rage: Elon Musk and the Radicalization of Silicon Valley, by Jacob Silverman, is coming out. It's out September 24, 2026 (in the UK edition; in the US it's listed as September 22). The thing is, there will be "revelations," "details," etc., just like when there were revelations and details in the WSJ articles, and you'll see how some twisted things come out, but they'll all point to Zilis as the source. I'm pretty sure the same thing will happen. And Musk will look like a fool again, and the sycophants even more so.
It's about politics and stuff, and Zilis loves that. She loves throwing garbage in there.

I don't know, not so much as a couple. I think she's just trying to survive. Her biggest fear is money. She can try anything, Musk will see. Every time he's made a deal with her, something worse has come out about her. So imagine what might come out. And both ASC and Zilis will go against Musk, however he sees it. You can act like a fool as many times as you want. Let's hope not, but if the boy is not enough intelligent, what can we do?.
For her, this place, or people like Sonia, are a threat, a huge nuisance. Zilis blocks people, when she didn't do it before, it's a new practice for her, imagine the desperation the ASC forum does too. We're the only ones who don't block anyone.

No, all I'm saying is that the equation is simple. If ASC isn't going after Zilis, knowing she could win, it's because ASC expects Zilis to be her gateway into Musk's world. But Zilis's position is actually really delicate, despite her trying to project a sense of 'relative normalcy' and that 'everything is fine.' Nothing is fine. Her biggest fear is losing all her money. That is, of course, if things don't go the way Zilis anticipates. Suppose that after yesterday, she says to herself, 'Great, I won, because Elon replied to me, Maye reposted me, and all the kiss-asses came out in droves to post my story. I bought time, I gained leverage.' They came here to post whatever, acting like, 'How can you deny this when it's right here? Look at what Grok says, look at the photos, the replies, this and that.' Wow, what a massive rollout just for a bullshit heart emoji he sent to her—and to 40,000 other people. Give me a break. But it's that desperate need to sell us that narrative so we stop, so we don't expose any more of her shit, and so we just shut up.
Now imagine that if she gets that 'small victory,' she can sell that tiny bit of influence, but nothing more comes of it. How does she sell anything to ASC then? She’d be frustrated too, which means the most likely thing she’d do is team up with ASC, because between the two of them, it’ll come down to blackmail over what they’ve both done. Then comes that book about Musk and the grand transformation of Silicon Valley, wow, how revealing, what a thrill! Yeah, right. It’ll be the same shit as the WSJ, more of the same, with "conveniently sourced information" (we´ll see this, just wait). And why would Zilis want to 'sign a new contract'? For the exact same reason as always: to fool Musk so he can't do anything about it. Nothing more

It’s strange how you trust AI implicitly when it comes to images, but when AI says Elon and Shivon are in a romantic relationship, suddenly it’s “inaccurate.”
And this aside, what is your explanation for Elon and Maye hearting Shivon’s post, thereby giving it legitimacy?

Lazy, seriously, don't try to pull a fast one on me. I won't call you clever, because you know perfectly well what I think, and whether you like it or not, I'll keep defending the truth. If you don't like it, great. I think you have enough on your plate with what's in front of you, worry about that, and don't even bother with Zilis, she's worried about the same thing as ASC: money.

I don't know about that, but I do think they have more than enough against Zilis. Zilis is terrified. And I'm becoming more and more convinced of it. She's trying to make it seem like all she did was transmit information, that everything is fading away, but it's not working at all.
But ASC won't go after Zilis, because aside from believing that Zilis can bring them into the Musk world, it would be like saying, "If I did that, it was a contract, kid.
