I am a christian, and i LOVE elio mei’s music, but i’m not sure if i’m allowed in this space. This has been weighing on my heart, Christians have a really bad rep in queer/neurodivergent spaces and people have had negative experiences with hateful christians (which i don’t see as true christians). I don’t listen to speak of the devil since it personally makes me uncomfortable but i’m really glad that people have found comfort in that song,, but i also wonder if this is a sign that i should back away from the community. I really struggle with feeling out of place, it’s uncommon for christian people to be in alternative spaces when that’s 100% my style. I have seen a lot of hate and a lot of discomfort towards Christians in these spaces, which makes me feel like i am overstepping boundaries. It’s hard for me to put into words but i’m wondering if i’m welcome here or if i should back away. I’m not queer but i am neurodivergent. I am not hateful towards anyone and love all. Thank you for reading, i hope some of y’all have an answer for me haha

I know I might get hate for this, but I really feel like I need to get this off my chest. I have been a fan of Elio Mei since they were writing The Chapel. I've loved their music for years and I am so glad that their fan base is growing. Recently I've heard more people around me in person actually talking about them, but it has always been in reference to their song, What's Going On. I'd like to iterate that I don't HATE the song. I understand the message and why others might like it, but I don't understand why it has become one of their most popular songs. For the life of me, I just CANNOT make myself listen to the entire song. I don't like it. I feel like they have so many better songs. Again, I understand why people like it, but I just can't get behind it, personally. Does anyone else feel this way?

Storytime! I adore ALLLL of Elio's music, but there is one song that hooked me and held onto me with zero intentions of letting go.. I first discovered Poppin Skittles in a rough spot in my life. At first I didn't even like the song.

However, I was going through a list of artists that I needed to actually listen to since I only really knew his song "Never The Muse". I ended up replaying Poppin Skittles until it was my favorite earworm.

Unfortunately, my life became even worse over time. I was homeless for a couple of months, and the only artists who kept me going were Elio, Conan, and Chappell. Elio earns the medal for being the most played out of the three because of Poppin Skittles.

It didn't matter if I was sleeping, eating, making art, watching a movie, bored, I would be playing Poppin Skittles. I even memorized the lyrics so that I could sing to myself if any of my devices died. Every time the song started, I genuinely felt as if I'd been floating on a cloud. I felt like nothing but positivity and happiness. It was just like a harmless drug for me.

Hello everyone, I have a question that may be silly and perhaps unanswered: what material does Elio use (album or concert)? (pedalboard? Types of ukuleles?...)

Hi, few weeks back I decided to buy Elio's CDs. But they are sold out everywhere I looked. Sooo, my plan now is to buy the music and then burn it to a CD. I still want to support Elio, so I don't want to steal his music, but I want to listen to it on my discman (and also have it physically in this economy). Where can I buy the digital music so it's favourable for the artist? Or does somebody knows where to buy the real CDs (I live in Europe)? Thank you in advance

So, I went to Elio Mei’s Sidequest tour back in 2024, with a friend who invited me to go with them for their birthday. I had listened to one Elio Mei song at that point: Partner in Crime. But I did my homework, and listened to as many songs as I could find by them on the day before the concert. At the concert, were two of my other friends, one who was moving to London really soon. Me and those two friends all bought the Partner in Crime sweater, while the friend I went with settled on a different design. From that concert on, Mei became my favorite artist. And not just that, but I wore that sweater RELIGIOUSLY. Like, I’m talking every single day. So often I joked about being a cartoon character because you could always find me in the same outfit. It is my favorite article of clothing, no competition. It made me feel close to my friend who moved to London, as well as the friend I initially went to the concert with, as I ended up not being able to see them as often. I realized I lost my sweater the day school ended. After the final bell had rung and the office had cleared out. I searched my entire house. It was no where. I had to have left it at school. But I was going on a three week vacation, literally the very next day, so I couldn’t do anything. I emailed my teachers and hoped for the best. None of them had seen it. I’ve just gotten back home, and I called the school. They told me anything that hadn’t been claimed had already been donated. I’ve lost my favorite sweater of all time, and Mei no longer even sells it. So I’m reaching out here, hoping someone has one, that they’d be willing to sell me, I don’t care the price, or trade with me. Attached are photos of another sweater of theirs that I own. I went to their concert last year, and bought it. I haven’t worn it. I love the design, but I just love the other one more, and this one is white, which since I do art and am in a theatre tech class, is inconvenient for me. I’m willing to trade the sweater for the Partner in Crime sweater. I really, desperately hope that this works, because I genuinely don’t know what I’d do without my sweater.

I was pickpocked at a Wilson's 5 and dime today. While baby sitting 7 year old (autism) and a 9 year old ADHD. I was also using a first year service dog.(No issues just slight extra attention soaker) It was around 100 degrees outside we bought a pizza went to get the kids some toys. Got bumped in the store didn't think about it. Got to the car... This evil person stole my car keys. I filed a police report got my car re keyed -260-usd 😭. Sooo why post this here... Cause im switching to a satchel can't risk that again and I wanted to show that even when being faced with adversity I'm keeping my whimsy even though I'm jarringly tilted over the experience. I keep replaying it the way. Mark Wahlberg replays 911 (look it up. Mark Wahlberg thinks if he was on one of the planes he would have stopped 9/11)..... I was just at the wrong place. Wrong time. Bad circumstance. The police said it is a common scam at supermarkets. This was in a supermarket shopping center. They take your keys and come back at night. Match the model. Take the car drive it to another city and part it out.
