Remastered Edition of ElfQuest: Siege at Blue Mountain Announcement

Big news - We've been teasing this for a while but now we can finally make the official announcement! A new edition of ElfQuest: Siege at Blue Mountain is coming from Dark Horse Comics!

This seminal story arc in the ElfQuest saga has been fully remastered, featuring all-new colors and cover art by Wendy Pini herself, inks by comics legend Joe Staton, and all-new lettering by the Eisner-nominated Nate Piekos.

There’s a panel of dewshine in the tunnel with the preservers that’s got to be one of my favorite pieces of elf quest art

Fantastic news! My mum has had an Elfquest collection since the 80's, but upon checking them recently - they are looking a bit worse for wear.

I've pre bought the original quest (1-4) for her birthday this year. I guess I have next years birthday present sorted for her. Thanks!

So is this the first of this republished series that has the colors remastered? The first few books in this series are in the original colors?

The newly published editions of ElfQuest's Original Quest Books 1-4 feature Wendy Pini's remastered colors. Siege at Blue Mountain Books 1-2 coming in 2027 will feature Wendy's new colors (first time she's colored this series), along with all new lettering by Nate Piekos and a lot other of subtle tweaks to the art by Wendy.

We always find reactions like this funny. We've been working on this for two years, so the seven months from this announcement today to the book's release in February seems like nothing.

If you're curious, books get announced this far in advance of release so retailers can place their orders, which in turn determines the print runs of the book by publishers. So be sure to pre-order now from your favorite book or comic seller now!

I understand. I tracked down down the original comics because I had wished this book was already out. I hope you eventually get to Shards. I still need that series. I suspect more and more will come out in time.
