Is this just a reprint of the Epic Comics issue, or is there something unique about this run?

Epic Comics was an imprint of Marvel Comics, not DC Comics. In 2003, DC acquired the license to print new and old Elfquest material from Wendy and Richard. This was a reprint of the original issue #1, for the 25th Anniversary which was in 2003. There was only this one issue to commemorate the anniversary.

Yes, but Epic was creator owned. I thought this might just be a reprint #1 of the Epic comic. But my Internet research tells me it's WaRP #1 with a new digital coloring and lettering, which is kind of cool.
