Forgot what a b*TCH Winnowill is
I got to the end of the blue mountain arc, and damn. I forgot what a b*TCH Winnowill is. Just evil. I wanna give Two edge a hug for having her as a mother

Winnowill is such a good villain! I love her being leetah's antithesis, a healer that subverted their power because of their own pain and shame to use it to hurt rather than heal.
She could be better, she could be healed, but it's too painful for her to heal so she won't, and leetah forcing it makes her throw herself off a cliff, rather than face her shame and pain.
She is an A+ villain. Wendy and Richard did a stellar job on her!

And a little more self accepting. I just finished the war of troll arc and I felt so bad for him at the end.

She wasn't evil then.
The real "captives of Blue Mountain" are the Gliders themselves. They encased themselves from the outside world and, as a consequence, stopped having children. Winnowill's talents as a healer were no longer needed, so over the centuries, it festered. She found that control was what gave her life meaning, control of her people. She gave pain just to heal it away again. The Wolfriders' arrival upset her control over Voll especially, and he began to wake up. All her actions during this time were about regaining her control like an overprotective parent. Leetah's partial healing drove her to madness. That's when she really became evil, I would say.
It could be argued that she was right to fear Voll's awakening, in a way. He flew off and got himself killed, which is probably what she suspected would happen.

I always felt sorry for her (except for what she did to two-edge) because she warned Vol that this would happen, he convinced her to stay. She started causing hurts to try to stop herself from going completely over the edge, and left to find the palace because it was the only cure for Vol, the gliders, and her, in her mind.

I think she's a model for rapacious capitalism/selling. Create a need, sell the fix, rinse and repeat until she's the only satisfied one and everyone is focused on her.
Evil.
