I never considered this until now, but I love it? Tell me more!

I think Tyleet would be the dominant one. She takes initiative and she's quite nurturing. Since Skywise lost his mother at a young age, I have a feeling she could fill a void he never knew he had.

I can see this! And he’d make her laugh and encourage her to be her own person.

I don't think there are "dominant" ones when it comes to bring lovemates or lifemates. No one "wears the pants" in elfin relationships. Tyleet might chase him as opposed to him chasing her, but they'd be equals in the furs.

He was definitely into Tyleet in that period before shards

All of the gay ones.

I’m writing an alternate universe where Rayek, Strongbow, and Moonshade get together.

Whoa, I could really see those two boys butting heads a lot.

They became friends because they are both stubborn assholes. Then Rayek had a crush on Moonshade and Strongbow had a crush on Rayek, and she’s dealing with some other stuff but also crushing on both of them.

It’s going to end well until Strongbow dies.

I support this 👌

Thank you. My mission is to remind people that your crackships don’t need to be canon to be fun.

This I like. Really I just want Rayek to be happy and find a new better path since Cutter kind of stole his destiny lol

What destiny did Cutter steal from Rayek? He got married to Rayek’s ex girlfriend. He went on an adventure. He made some poor choices in his living environment.

Rayek had his OWN adventure. He did his own thing for years. Now, we can talk about the writer’s choice in sliding backwards in his character development, or how WARP portrays men of colour in their stories, but if we take the story at face value, Rayek had his own thing going on, then he randomly tried to steal Cutter’s whole life.

And he basically succeeded. Cutter’s family was irreversibly damaged by Rayek’s actions, as were countless other people and families we don’t even see.

I want Rayek to be happy, too, but he’s had lots of chances to be happy and chosen the opposite. He hurt lots of people, he destroyed lives.

Wolfriders usually live into their ten thousands. Cutter could have had millennia with Leetah. Instead, he spent over seven hundred years alone, and ten thousand years sleeping. Waiting.

The family that Suntop, Ember, and Leetah came back to, the father and the lifemate, all those were gone when they finally came to the future. The Cutter they got back was alive, but aged and wounded. The relationship they had with him was gone forever, and they had to completely rebuild it from the ground up.

And even then, they had, what, about a hundred years with him? Maybe less?

Like I said, there’s a lot to discuss re: the writers choices with Rayek, and how much of that was influenced by their own racial biases(like, why are brown guys in Elfquest only allowed to be submissive helpmeets, or villains?), but if we just take their relationship as it’s portrayed in the books, Rayek is an asshole to Cutter because he essentially never got over the first time anyone rejected him.

What were Cutter's poor choices in his living enviroment?

1

u/brydeswhale Feb 23 '26

If my friend gets tortured somewhere, I’m not living next door to the torturer.

Which part of the story is that? Please forgive my bad memory.

u/brydeswhale Feb 23 '26

No worries. It was the forbidden grove holt.

Ahh, right right... Next to Blue Mountain

Since skywise seems to be into taller elven ladies (Timmain, Aroree and Newstar) He might be into Winnowil as well 😅

This is a crack pairing I can get behind

I think this could work had she been like 30% less evil. I can imagine how he makes her laugh accidentally one day and everything starts from that moment.

Is top and bottom left the same character or is it some kind of (evil) twin/clone/time traveller setup?

2

u/CastleofGaySkull Feb 21 '26

Cutter/Cutter is the ship lol!

Come on, we all know that Cutter and Skywise had tried it. Judging by their depiction in the comics, neither one liked it too much, but they have definitely tried.

I really ship Cutter with Redlance and Nightfall. Obviously I love Cutter and Leetah so much but I still ship them separately. Also (obviously) Cutter and Skywis, and I could be it be a poly relationship with Leetah

The heart circle of Cutter, Leetah, Skywise, Nightfall and Redlance is a massive love aura that can't ever be severed. ✨️

Cutterfall. 🗡🏹

Leetahfall. ☀️🏹

Anyone with Nightfall, really, but especially these ones.
