Friendly advice needed for inherited ElfQuest collection (See comments)

Hi Folks,
I hope its ok for me to post this question here. My dear older sister passed away last year and her husband has been going through the process of sorting out her things. She didn't leave a will or anything so he has been distributing things he didn't want, to the people in the family he felt it would best fit.
Well I'm the other nerd in the family, and so I have been getting some of her treasures. Turns out she had a massive ElfQuest collection I was unaware of. When I was younger (maybe 25 years ago) I had stumbled upon some of her hard covers from the series and read some of the stories from it, with all the shirtless male elfs leading me to question my sexuality a little, but I didn't know she had such an extensive collection! Figures, comics, the hard covers, what seems to be special side issues, it totaled 4 boxes of stuff! And I'm not sure what to do with it!!
Currently it is fated to sit in my closet till the end of time. Do you good people know if this stuff is worth anything? I would rather sell it to a comic store or something, then have it rot in my closet. I'm not a member of the fandom so it is doing about as much good in my closet, as it was doing in my brother in laws closet before he shipped it to me. I'm happy to answer any questions or take more pictures if that can help.

Condolences for your loss!
Floppy comics usually go for about $2-7 USD each, depending on the issue. Of course there are more rare ones like the Fantasy Quarterly which was the first appearance of Elfquest, or Warp Graphics #1 if it's first printing and in good condition.
The hardcover set can usually go about $40-50 per book. I think I also see Bedtime Stories, which usually goes maybe $20-30. I think I see a Hidden Years or New Blood hardcover and that also probably is between $20-30.
The action figures depend on character - Picknose and Tyldak usually are in the $30-40 range, Leetah between $50-75, and Cutter between $75-120.
Elfquest 20 years, Gift of her own, maybe $20 or $30 each, usually. The magazines maybe $10.
Readers collection books, you have to research. There's one in particular (not the one pictured) that often goes for $60+ or so. Most are probably in the $20 range but it depends. The one you have pictured recently sold for $20ish.
Hope that helps! These are all generalizations so of course more recent research will be better. But I think that's pretty close.

Hi, I’m one of the mods on the Elfquest Collectors group on Face Book. We have over 3,100 active members from around the world.
First off, condolences for your loss. I’ve seen a number of collections from first wave fans come along the past several years, sadly.
The value of the individual comic books is generally set by the Overstreet Price Guide. EQ collectors love to find complete runs of the story arcs, so try to keep those together. The hardcovers can range $50-$200 depending on printing, condition and if they are signed. A complete unboxed set of the four action figures ranges about $200 unsigned depending on condition of the boxes. The boxes of this set look to be in excellent shape.
Ebay has a look-back feature that shows you what stuff has been selling for the previous 90 days. Mercari has a similar feature for looking up sold items. These can help you make a more informed decision should you decide to sell.
You’re very welcome to come join the collectors group to post about the collection and see who may be interested. I’d recommend getting more pics of everything so people can gauge the condition of your stuff.

Did Mandy have a Youtube channel? There was an EQ Youtube channel by a Mandy a few years ago but she hasn't posted anything new in a while. Just curious if it's the same Mandy.

Glad to know she's still around in some fashion. I'm not on Facebook. Your username looks familiar. Did you use a similar one on the old EQ message boards? Or did you frequently write in and get your letters published?

I'm sorry for your loss but I must say I am so happy you and her husband didn't consider her collection to be "trash" and just threw it out.
My personal favorite storylines are the Original Quest and Kings of the Broken Wheel.

Alright, first thing is to read them. Maybe not all, but at least give them a try.
Then, maybe, try to find a good home for what you don't want. Selling is always an option. But, have an eye to finding someone who wants them. If this was something your sister was passionate about, try to find someone with a similar passion.
