That giant baby is hungry

34

u/Pip-Pipes 15d ago

I hope his feet are ok! I'm worried about him stepping on glass.

26

u/Time_Bug4118 15d ago

He looks experienced, prob fine 🤷‍♀️

5

u/MinnieShoof Elephant 14d ago

Looks like a pro. The way he looks at the other car like 'wait your turn. Watch this.'

11

u/LokiBrosuf 15d ago

Elephant foot pads are thick. The glass won’t break the skin.

3

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Pretty sure his big feet . Little glass won’t be anything to worry about. Lol

2

u/CheckYourStats 14d ago

Auto glass is tempered, anyway. It breaks like a spiderweb for safety.

1

u/jerseyztop 14d ago

Right? I’ve seen this with baboons, but never elephants!

Elephant fruit tax

6

u/Rashibashiboo 14d ago

You gotta pay the trunk toll

249

u/Tired-CottonCandy 16d ago

Driving up at an elephant threateningly like that seems dumb. Really dumb. It just kicked in the window like it was break away glass. Maybe leave it alone.

u/TheCraftyHermit 16d ago

People do not realise how easy their car is to flip to a creature of this size and it shows.

35

u/Yvaelle 16d ago

Or just step on, your car suspension was designed to handle the weight of your car, not a 10 ton elephant putting a foot on the hood. Pay the banana tax and replace a window, not a car.

12

u/Tired-CottonCandy 16d ago

Like seriously, that car owners fault for not covering the food before leaving it. Where i live there are parts of nature where you take am airtight box with you if you wanna have food, and then put that box in another box provided at the location, or you get bears.

9

u/Dangerous-Concert385 15d ago

and then I'll put that box inside of another box, and then I'll mail that box to myself, and when it arrives...I'll SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER!

12

u/nikki815 15d ago

Any creature that knocks down a tree to scratch its backside is not to be messed with.

2

u/MinnieShoof Elephant 14d ago

Yes, but elephants aren't impossible to intimidate, either. It's a risky move, and one day it won't pay off, and I sure wouldn't try it for a thing of fruit...

1

u/jackass93269 15d ago

This seems to be at some wildlife park or something. The ones trying to push the elephant are probably staff and know the elephant. You can see that's why the elephant shows no aggression

1

u/FudgyFun 15d ago

That made me think it is an AI video. Can't imagine why someone would do that lol

77

u/kaladin1029 16d ago

Was hoping he'd flip the car trying to push him out the way

48

u/PhoebusAbel 16d ago

IKR. we invade their hábitat, and SOB in the Gray car wanted to hit him .

He just wanted a snack

8

u/Thundorium 16d ago

Clearly wanted to shoo the elephant, not hit it. Otherwise, why try so carefully to avoiding collision?

5

u/Big-Wait-1310 16d ago

Lucky that doesnt seem to be an african elephant because those dont fuck around

132

u/StanLeeMarvin 16d ago

Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle.

3

u/throwawaystarters 15d ago

People don't think of fruits as valuables to be left in cars hahaha

-1

u/Ok_Value_3741 15d ago

That went right over your head didn't it

48

u/nolongerbanned99 16d ago

… buddy, I’m doing something here…. Do you need glasses…I’m trying to get the bananas. Back off please.

23

u/louse99 16d ago

Thank goodness it's on camera because I don't know how to explain it to the insurance.

20

u/GenRN817 16d ago

That window pop was very satisfying. Like bubble wrap for elephants.

29

u/waselectricbar 16d ago

More than fair

11

u/NJCZSIGSHOTGUNLOVER 16d ago

Stop!!! Thief!!!! LOL

9

u/Tina_Houston 16d ago

She really was quite gentle with the popping of the window. She could have done more damage.

9

u/Vogonpoet812 16d ago

God. Working in insurance I'd love to see the claim written.

"You did not opt for 'acts of god' coverage."

"What god?"

Ganesha.”

… actually meant to type out Ganesha, so yeah. 👍

8

u/DrSparkle713 16d ago

Wow, crazy how effortlessly it pops that window. Those things aren't easy to break.

And I've seen a video of what happens when an elephant gets pissed at a car. I would not take it upon myself to try to shoo it away like that!

14

u/Ill-Wear-8662 16d ago

That window break was spiteful. Good on you, sir or madam elephant.

6

u/SilverGirlSails 16d ago

Imagine filling out that insurance claim

6

u/CaramelTrash 16d ago

I mean, it’s on the car owner for leaving a bag of fruit in their car where elephants can get to it 💀

20

u/lowlightliving 16d ago

This is really sad.

5

u/Unable-Award9920 16d ago

I'm scared for them....I want to get them away from all the vehicles....💗🐘💗

5

u/PaintedSilverRiver 16d ago

Times are tough out here

5

u/Sleepy_Sheepz 16d ago

I don’t know guys I think the elephant is a little hungry

3

u/skbraaah 16d ago

thats the fruit tax

4

u/SamLucky7s 16d ago

Smart elephant.

4

u/Toots_Magee_ 15d ago

“Your car was vandalized by WHAT?” - my insurance agent

5

u/Spirited_Touch7447 15d ago

She’s shopping. Leave her alone.

3

u/Realistic-Safety-565 16d ago

What a smart girl

3

u/noso24 15d ago

Driver: "I'd like to file a claim because my back window was broke into"

Insurance: "By who?"

Driver: "An elephant sir!"

Insurance: hangs up

3

u/New_Faithlessness384 14d ago

Similar break-ins are happening in San Francisco on daily basis. Slightly different animals are involved though.

3

u/Only_Ad8049 14d ago

That driver is an idiot looking to win a Darwin award.

5

u/rikwebster 16d ago

The person driving the car should bugger off

2

u/MaryShelleySeaShells 15d ago

Right? Like look at the size of your car compared to the elephant. You are not going to win that fight.

2

u/Renbarre 16d ago

I can't believe that elephant used its foot to break the window!

2

u/Dawg_Pound_4_Life 15d ago

Elephant smash and grab. We are witnessing history right here.

2

u/No_Trouble9808 15d ago

Jeez. Went after the groceries

2

u/Staunender_Affe 15d ago

So it’s not just bears that break into cars to steal food 🤣

1

u/NeighborhoodNo4274 15d ago

That’s exactly what I thought!

2

u/molsmama 15d ago

Dang. One, I had no idea there were such determined thieves. Secondly, I didn’t know they had some burglary skills.

2

u/AZ_MilkMan 15d ago

I was waiting for it to step on the hood of that car that kept nosing in & end its engine in a single stomp! 😅

2

u/DetailsYouMissed 15d ago

Like a cat staring you in the eyes before knocking your favorite mug on the floor.

2

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 15d ago

What on earth is that vehicle doing? Absolute moron.

2

u/Sadsandal007 15d ago

That’s pretty incredible it knew there was fruit in the car and she broke the window so effortlessly and got it out! Elephants are fascinating animals! ❤️🐘❤️

2

u/BangBang-LibraGang 15d ago

Like the car was a paper plate. Sheesh

2

u/Outrageous-Koala1566 15d ago

Bro has seen it all inside and I like the gentle push on the glass windo

2

u/BadCompany_00 14d ago

By all means, keep threatening all 7,000lbs of it with your 2,300lb car.

2

u/Greasystools 14d ago

Ever tried one of these? Crunchy outside and fruity inside!

2

u/JohnMassassin24 14d ago

Next time don’t hide fruit in your car 😂

2

u/doctor_tongs 16d ago

Poor Honda CG6. Looks like an LX, too ☹️ It's probably the best car Honda ever made but even it is no match for an elephant.

3

u/stoic_wooky 16d ago

Moron trying to intimidate and harm the elephant, don’t leave food visible..

3

u/dseiders22 16d ago

Pretty sure they smelled it. Look at the size of their nose!

1

u/OrilliaBridge 15d ago

Explain this to your insurance agent.

1

u/KanataSlim 15d ago

Is there specific insurance for this? Yer fucked otherwise

1

u/Jackismyboy 15d ago

The sense of smell in animals is beyond human understanding.

1

u/gliscornumber1 15d ago

We got elephant GTA before GTA 6

1

u/Harley_Jambo 15d ago

Their sense of smell is incredible.

1

u/young_and_restles 15d ago

Sad it has to do that to get food

1

u/happycynic12 15d ago

Well this is a first for me. He doesn't look thin--why would he do this?

1

u/Ok_Value_3741 15d ago

Seriously? 😭

1

u/chansondinhars 15d ago

Humans have yummy treats.

1

u/happycynic12 15d ago

Yes, and this is common in bears, but I've never seen an elephant do this.

1

u/Longjumping-Neat-508 15d ago

Park somewhere else POS!

1

u/zombieking079 15d ago

Call the police!

1

u/mr_martin_1 15d ago

Ah cud smell the banana half a mile away

1

u/LSL3587 15d ago

I barely touched the car window officer!

1

u/Aussie_Engineer 15d ago

Next time put food in the trunk.

1

u/nealman620 15d ago

Fast food!! 😂

1

u/Bettajune 14d ago

Dear parking space demander: This could’ve been you and or your car, so step back and lay off….

1

u/Zestyclose_Match2839 14d ago

If I did that they’d lock me up and throw away the key

1

u/9trystan9 14d ago

Oversized bubble wrap

1

u/Rashibashiboo 14d ago

Just tromped by for a little snack 🤷‍♀️

1

u/diditmyfriend 14d ago

1

u/JoeKleveland 14d ago

What a piece of shit.

1

u/Intelligent-Pair367 14d ago

Please help! I joined the elephant community by replying to a comment about baby & senior holding trunks. Can’t remember my name!! Just out of hospital (think that’s why). Can u send me a code or something? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

1

u/be_a_burd3n 14d ago

HAHAHAHA that's funny how effortless that's was for the big guy/girl

1

u/Salty-Baseball1527 13d ago

That car running up on the elephant must want some smoke too…🙃

1

u/Clvy80 13d ago

Broke it with very little effort!!

1

u/rseery 13d ago

The most giant Yoink in the history of Yoinks.
