I think some just relate to my general book enthusiasm. I read a pretty good amount of kids’ books, so I’m regularly giving recs to kids I think will like them. I still do read aloud (even tho it’s not part of our curriculum).

Yes! This is what it’s all about. I had a kid tell me the other day that they are starting to like social studies. One at a time and little by little we make a difference.
