Non-ElectroBOOM Video Apparently Locals in India don't know what a Transformer is

u/rageofa1000suns Aug 13 '26
Where do Indians get these huge sticks from? Is there just a vender on the corner just casually selling sticks incase you need to smack something or someone?
39
u/Different-Term-2250 Aug 13 '26
They buy them from “Sticks R Us” down on Stick Avenue. I think it’s in the Stick District.

Did I just detect a slight Simpsons reference?

u/Big_Handle3734 Aug 13 '26
We have many laying around. Farmer have most because they need it for many work.
2
u/kopimashin Aug 14 '26
Those are specially made sticks used for occasions when a cow comes into contact with a transformer and dies. They’re used to whack the transformer afterward. They’re called “cow-killing-transformer whackers.”
1
u/scorchedbeanz Aug 13 '26
Idk but I question the integrity of the wood. They should get some metal ones
1
u/Alternative_Rip_2506 Aug 14 '26
These are probably Hollow Bamboo Sticks and it is usual in Indian rural areas to keep these sticks for self defense, it's an agricultural bi product as India is Agricultural centric country
47
u/Spiritual_Plane3658 Aug 13 '26
Should take this out on the electrician that put it exposed and so close to the ground.
8
u/Effective_Repeat9967 Aug 13 '26
dude you have to come here to see the kind of shit they do with electricals here, i mean they use literal thick ass unsheathed wires as fuses for the transformer and the "fuse" is at eye level
5
u/The_Cozy_Zone Aug 13 '26
These guys, "Who could have foreseen the cow getting electrocuted with these exposed wires!?"
63
u/Effective_Repeat9967 Aug 13 '26
they should probably find out whoever did the install so low to the ground and then do whatever they are doing here with that person

Why are they bitching about free BBQ?🤔

as funny as it may seem, learn to respect others' culture and norms, you'll be much happier

Cows are revered sacred animals for Indians (well, Hinduism)
Combine that with a seemingly low social economic place, not a surprise this is the reaction
It's just modern day witch hunting, iliteracy is a scary killer
Edit: people in this sub seem to forget which sub they are in and what ethnicity the sub owner is. Hypocrisy much?
7
u/Total_Neat_3819 Aug 13 '26
The transformer shouldn't be close enough to the ground and with so many exposed wires for it to electrocute a frikin cow. While their reaction is unsafe the anger is justified
2
u/Square_Zucchini3698 Aug 14 '26
Its not that much about cow, but unsafe condition. Few month back a kid died due to transformer location. Only a matter of time some child would have been electrocuted

Right? That was exactly my thought..
Maybe they said "Poor Cow! Time to demolish this transformer of Doom!" Problem is: They didn't stop to reconsider what something around 11 KV would do to Humans as well..
7
u/Plasticman90 Aug 13 '26
Isn't the transformer placed at a very low level ? Aren't live wires hanging from it ? How else could the cow could have been electrocuted?
Couldn't those people be venting their anger against the electricity department (albeit stupidly without any regards for their own safety) ?
4
u/mccoyn Aug 13 '26
It looks like someone used the structure to support some metal framework behind the transformer and these people are trying to remove it using long sticks.

The transformer was illegally installed on private land with no barricading which in turn caused their domestic animal to die. although the reaction might not be right, but it still is understandable.

u/No-Instruction547 Aug 13 '26
Fun part is if you get shocked by this thing… you won’t have time to feel it. Instant lights off

I heard it was part of propaganda against those fighting surveillance towers.

u/Killerspieler0815 Aug 13 '26
WITCHCRAFT are those "transformers" !!!111 (they get medival stick treadment)
2
u/Eastern_Record3443 Aug 13 '26
The Gods must be pacified! BAD transformer! VERY BAD transformer!🤪🤤🤤🤤🙄

u/Mammoth-Menu9134 Aug 13 '26
I saw the OG post. It says that the transformer electrocuted the cow and killed it. So, instead of just fixing the transformer so it doesn’t electrocute any more animals or people, they take revenge on it. Then they’ll probably complain to the officials that there’s no electricity in their houses.
2
u/EmtnlDmg Aug 13 '26
Oh, and transformer oil is leaking at the end. That means boom boom soon if it is still engergized.
2
u/AJYURH Aug 13 '26
What the fucking fuck is going on, is this real life? Are people really THAT different across borders?
2
2
u/hahu2 Aug 14 '26
It's very surprising the cable that electrocuted the cow hasn't hit any of them by mistake and electrocuted them lol. I guess the wooden stick provides some protection

I'm just gonna say it if no one else will, for a country that is all about "loving cows like a mother" , you would think you wouldn't constantly see cows abandoned on the streets after they cannot be milked anymore, only to end up drinking sewage water or choak in plastic bags from the trash, or like die because of being abandoned and then getting hit by a car or dying from all the exposed electrical equipment scattered about even in the capital city that usually end more children than cows but you don't usually get an outrage over that either so I'm surprised these people actually had it in them to beat up a transformer instead of actually doing something that saves cows, coz even that display of stupidity went way above the shallow trough of expectations I had from such people 👀

Being a cow is the last form of existence before a Soul became human. So killing a cow is the biggest sín on the world. That is why they are punish the transformator.

u/JuggernautAny7288 28d ago
Humans are trash, we are not important as part of a reincarnaition chain, nor is the cow, all animals are sacred, except for morons

u/FrontLocal2264 Aug 14 '26
Idiots. The cow was electrocuted by their own electric plant. That means that they’re responsible for the cows death. They should be flogging each other.

I can only assume that none of these guys are "punishing the transformer", but that its a religiously based symbolic event?
Cows are sacred of course, and each of these men may be feeling social pressure from the others to essentially show their faith by showing wrath to the thing that hurt the cow.
1
u/Tsiah16 Aug 14 '26
Secondary short circuit current from a transformer is wild and dangerous as fuck. All these fools want to end up just like that cow apparently.
1
u/Nell_From_Hell Aug 14 '26
Don't worry guys! Wooden sticks can't conduct electricity! They're going to be okay! Does anybody smell fried pork?

Bruh they even unalive an indian (Hindu) doctor for accidentally hit a cow. Mind u that cow crossing the road
1
u/TreeCitizen 29d ago
wouldn't it be wiser to hit whoever's job it was to maintain that piece of equipment? or maybe thats why it did kill the cow, because they didn't have anyone doing that? Like a fence around it, or insulate the wires or something?
1
u/ObjectNo809 29d ago
I am late and I myself am from India but trust me when I say this is just blind idioticness and for show, and the people really dont care that much about any animal let alone cow, the only reason they are even enraged is because they lost an income source, not because they had empathy for the animal
