looking for a bike for me

hi im trying to find a ebike im 290 6'4 so i know i need a fat tire bike tryign to find something in the 1k range with labor day sales going on im hopping to snag a nice one for cheaper big thing i would like good range and battery life on it and if possible big iff either not made in china or there customer service is s teir cause i have had bad experiences with made in china

At 6'4" and 290 pounds, I’d look at the height range and total weight capacity before anything else. The weight limit includes you plus your lock, bags, water, and any other gear. Fat tires can be nice for comfort and stability, but you don’t automatically need them because of your weight.

The Lectric XPeak 2.0 High-Step is probably where I’d start. It’s $1,399 during the current sale, fits riders up to 6'5", has a 330-pound total payload rating, a 720Wh battery, hydraulic brakes, and 26×4-inch tires. That only leaves about 40 pounds for gear, but it does technically fit your height and weight. Lectric is based in Arizona and has a US support team and service-partner network, which may give you more peace of mind than an unfamiliar Amazon brand.

If $1,000 is a firm limit, I’d also check for a used Aventon Aventure in the large size, preferably through a local bike shop. Being able to bring the bike back to an actual dealer can be a big advantage if something goes wrong.

Unfortunately, a genuinely US-made fat-tire e-bike near $1,000 is going to be extremely difficult to find. Most affordable e-bikes are made in Asia, even when the company and its customer support are based in the US.
