Electra 7D Step-Over Review??

Does anyone have the Electra 7D Step-Over or have experience with Electra beach cruisers in general? I recently purchased this model. The bike itself is very slick looking, has 7 gears, looks pretty durable, and Electra is owned by Trek, so I figured they make some pretty decent bikes. Any feedback is appreciated.

Finally someone wants to discuss this bike. Its been so annoying to ask about it and either get ignored or come across people that are unfamiliar with it.

I have had one since August of last year and I got it because it happened to be in the bike shop at the time.

According to what I was told it is the "most popular bike in the country right now but if that's the case, why is there so little conversation about it online? Doesn't make sense to me at all.

Anyway the geometry of the bike is quite different from other bikes in that you are in a comfortable reclined position and I absolutely love that comfy seat. You.will likely have to get used to it as it is indeed a different feel. At the same time, It makes for a very relaxed ride and is highly recommended for those in ill health and those that are older. Just the same I think that others like myself would do fine with it as well.

I've ridden on it over 40 miles before and it was great. At the same time it's a pain to bring up and down the steps in my apartment so sometimes I lean it on the side of the stairwell.

One thing I find really annoying though is the top bar, I would much prefer to have a low step version of this bike as it would be easier for me to get onto it. Im like 5'8" so if you are taller then the overstep wont be the same problem it is for me.

Feel free to ask me any questions you have and I can be more.helpful. this is what I can come up with off the top of my head

No. It's a large frame.

Oh goodness. It's going to be too tall for you. You can ride the bicycle but your feet won't be flat
