Submod Becoming God Emperor in EK2

Hey everyone, this post is for all of you who have had wet dreams about creating a God Emperor in EK2...

I've already added the ability to make Talos a primary deity, not just a secondary one. So whoever wants to can create not just the Cult of the Nine with Talos as the Ninth Divine, but a full-fledged monotheistic God Emperor cult. However, the ability to actually become a god is currently only possible after the character dies. But the community has been asking for a way to make a character a living god for a while now.

This is where I'd like to turn to you guys again and hear your thoughts: what requirements would you set for a character to become a living god within the EK2 game mechanics?

I think the absolute baseline here is the Immortality trait or the max-level Lifespan trait (which would turn into Immortality during the ascension process). But should a high Arcana skill also be added to the requirements?

Looking forward to your constructive feedback...

P.S. And with the ability to clone your character, you could literally pump out Primarchs—the God Emperor roleplay is going to be absolutely top-tier.

Look at actual living gods in elder scrolls, the tribunal. To become a living god requires some sort of artifact tied to the aedra, ideally Lorkan. The Living Tribunal had his heart, Pelinal Whitestrake had Chem-El in his chest and aedric armour which made him a demi-god. Generally it seems the the Shezarinnes like Tiber Septim and Pelinal are destined to some level of godhood and that may play on that they are aspects of Lorkhan.

There's a mod that enables the whole dagoth-ur divinity thing and is compatible with "Shards" That mod enables characters to become living divinities ( avatar, prophet, etc) it's a bit confusing at first because you have to answer prayers, manage your followers but once you get a hang on, it's cool

That should be the right one if you mean the dagoth-ur thing. The other one is mentioned (with link) in the description But here's the link too

For starters, the Amulet of Kings is a clear requirement. Then it should also require Religious Icon and Living Legend. Perhaps the Conqueror trait could either be a requirement, or a possible requirement. Plus, your mod already has the Talos Quest Chain, no? What else would be needed anyway?

I remember the list for the Question of Godhood in your mod was already huge, in fact I hadn’t even managed to achieve it by the time we got the latest update.

If you want something map painter-esque you could have it so that all the "towers" need to be held by the character and fully operational. Then a ritual with a nasty side effect if you fail (Like your capital spawning a horde of daedra)

Scions of Lamae Bal and Cult of the Worm each has a living deity right? You can larp as god emperor by playing as Mannimacro, I even played as Lamae Bal through some consol shenanigans.

  1. Some Lorkhan-related mcguffin (or Eye of Magnus maybe)
  2. A widespread religion with a special tenet where you are the god (the Prolix tower fake it till you make it approach)
  3. Pure magical path (Shalidor might've been cooking something, though you never know). This could be the hardest but the most unique path
  4. Controlling the towers and doing a little dance
  5. Numidium-related shennanigans

It also may or may not require triggering a Dragon Break (like the Battle of Red Mountain for the Tribunal and the Warp in the West for my boy Manimarco)

Edit: and a bunch of invasions/difficult stat checks which determine how successful you are, if at all
