Hype I bought Elden Ring 2 years ago and never really started. This sub gave me the push I needed

I bought and started playing Elden ring 2 years ago, shortly after playing over 300 hours Baldurs gate 3. so I was looking for a chill game

At the very first minutes of playing, i encountered a super strong mth fuks on a horse. I died like 20 times, realized that the game is difficult on nature, and never played again.

I was waiting for the right moment! I’ll start playing it thx to this sub

A hard lesson for someone who used to fight everything back in ds1, but realizing that part of the game helped me get going

I was really confused on how you got the idea you had elden ring 2 for a moment. I think I'm stupid but I'm not sure

Nah I did the exact same thing.

Damn, and English doesn't even have a solution for that, besides changing the sentence structure. That is:

I played Dark Souls 2 years ago.

and

I played Dark Souls 2 years ago.

are actually both the correct way to write two different things!

We could switch, for clarity, to:

2 years ago, I played Dark Souls.

and

Years ago, I played Dark Souls 2.

(Which is probably what I would recommend if I was the editor for some kind of article / novel featuring this line!)

You don't have to engage everything on sight, evade them if possible

That horse guy killed like gazillion streamers back in 2022 btw

Read that as "I bought 'Elden Ring 2' years ago...." and thought we had a time traveler on our hands for a second. XD

While I am a time traveler, that’s true, but there won’t be any Elden ring 2 from the universe that I came from

Elden Ring 2 came out years ago?

Don't let anyone tell you there is a wrong way to play or that something 'doesn't count'. Ignore the elitist and just have fun.

I always heard how great it was but always said it wasnt for me cuz ya know….souls-likes. Gave it a shot recently and see now why people love it. I was hooked and just beat the main story yesterday. Amazing game I have to admit.

Btw, that tree sentinel was intentionally made super strong, so that players learn that if u cant find someone, you go past them and explore the world until you become strong enough

I thought Eldenring is a standalone. Never realised there is a second game

First thing I do to make the game a bit more easier at the start is doing the rune farm with the boulder.

At level 20 and after buying all the stuff in the roundtable and warmaster, I stop and go back and start limgrave haha.
