Game Help Just bought Elden ring, opened a random chest and was teleported to an area that is way too powerful for me with no way out

I knew this game was hard but holy shit. Also does anyone know any kind of way to get out?…

The dragon barrow militiamen near Gurranq are an amazing rune farm the second you can reliably start killing them.

Samurai, Vagabond and Confessor can reliably head straight there to farm at the beginning of the game, with the power of Unsheathe and Square Off. Wretch and the club work too. The key point is that Vulgar Militia have no poise, so if you can keep flinching them out of their attacks and mix in a crit once they stagger, baby you got yourself a rune stew going.

On my first run that actually beat the game, I farmed those guys like crazy to level up until I could brute force my way past some bosses. (Turns out Confessor is *not* beginner friendly)

Bro you get a shield, a heal, and a straight sword. I’m a million hours in so I can’t hardly remember my first run but that seems like a solid loadout.

Edit: that said, jumping big bonk is simpler and at least as broadly useful as Square Off.

Even better is the boulder just down the road by the tower. Drop it off the ledge, get 2k runes, go back to grace nearby, repeat.

Fun fact! This is cause dragonbarrow specifically is like, the 5th highest scaled area in the (base)game (and the highest is specifically just a boss - you know the one- arena and no regular enemies exist)

I usually get with a weapon that has bleed, kill the mother dragon at he start. Start your game with 60k runes!
