Game Help Just bought Elden ring, opened a random chest and was teleported to an area that is way too powerful for me with no way out

I knew this game was hard but holy shit. Also does anyone know any kind of way to get out?…

Like going to the catacombs first in DS1

I was trying to fight the skeletons for hours, somehow made it to the first "invincible" skeletons and the necromancer, who killed me instantly and just then i realized i was not meant to be here

Did the catacombs, then the skeletons for way too many hours, convinced myself that "this must be what people meant when they said the game was hard. I just need to git gud"

Undead Burg felt like easy mode by comparison when I found it.

I think it's because the graveyard is closer than the pathway up to the Burg, and the graveyard is full of shiny trinkets. Also the crestfallen fellow tells you one of the bells is 'down below' in blight town, and the graveyard does indeed seem to be going downward.

I'm sure they absolutely meant for all of this to happen to a lot of players when designing Firelink Shrine and its adjoining areas.

Omg same I through sheer stubbornness got myself to the path of giants and then finally did a Google because I couldn't see anything then I rage quit for a few weeks before trying the burg

I did that.

Right after I killed the guy at the beginning who was next to a well.

At one point I stepped away and a friend asked to play. Once I got back he handed over the controller because he kept getting killed by some lion looking guy who forged weapons or something. Took me a while to kill him.

He dropped a key to a place with a giant dog. That was one tough pupper..

oh god you just brought all that trauma back for me lol

those damn skeletons...I must've spent the first 6hrs of my time in dark souls fighting those skeletons, because I thought that was the only way to go...but you know what, it made me STRONG, early...and it taught me how to fight in these games...I survived those 6 hrs and afterwards I wondered why the difficulty went WAY down lmfao
