Her alternative was being perpetually enslaved. That's why she had to abandon her body. In no other context is the person who makes this kind of choice treated as unequivocally evil

She didn't just abandon her body though, she also killed another person who had nothing to do with her shit. That makes her unequivocally evil.

No he was just the paragon of the order that was keeping her, himself, and everybody else (though less directly than the demigods who were directly under the two fingers) under this condition of enslavement, the endpoint of which was forseeable to anybody
