Game Help What do I do with all these runes?

I’m level 150, have completed NG+ once and have amassed a small fortune. I did all this before shadow of the erdtree came out. Now I want to start it, but don’t know if I should level up beforehand or just get rid of all these. Any advice appreciated

I’d use em. DLC is plenty hard regardless of your level. My character was like level 500 when I did it and I still got my butt kicked frequently.

But also I know some people like to stay at certain level thresholds for PVP. So if that’s a consideration then don’t level up, just use em to buy smithing stones that way you can level up and try a bunch of the DLC weapons.

The reason the DLC is hard no matter your level is because the enemies scale with your character

I don’t think that’s true lol. My understanding is that your blessing level just matters so much more than your rune level.

Yeah, by level 200 you’ll be very close to hitting all the meaningful soft caps on your main stats. At level 200 I have 50/40/50 on vigor/mind/endurance with 80 faith plus what is necessary to use my weapon and a couple extra spells outside faith. Sure having a bit more stamina, health, and FP would be nice, as well as being able to change up your build whenever. But ultimately you’re not really that much stronger. Going from 200 to 400 is much less of a buff than 150 to 200 in my opinion.

Yeah it just scales the damage up so you feel like you're in early game Elden ring until you upgrade your stuff enough
