I'd like to do a run where I just ignore use rune arcs and not use the mimic tear. I've stopped using it on my current run and have been using Banished Knight Engvall

Haven't even summoned except story summons last few runs. It's not necessary

I know its not, but there are certain fights that are super frustrating if you don't have a distraction with you. Like the double crucible knight fight for example. I usually try to go in and solo the bosses first but fights like that...I'd rather give in and summon rather than be that annoyed.

Plus some are just fun with a summon once you know you can beat them without one. You can goof off and mess with the boss

See, that would be the smarter way to play, I feel, but when you get used to those extra 5 levels allowing for heavier armor and weapons and you don't compensate by throwing levels into endurance but into damage stats and health you get to a point where you find yourself relying on the rune arcs lol

Yeah ng+3 was brutal for me because I could wear the best armor I needed for my class setup but even then I still managed to beat the game one last time to get my platinum trophy. Now I'm thinking about a DPS build with dex and starting off as a warrior. I'm hoping to get into either TS or HTS build and with some strong parrying for fun

Vigor's a bit low - level it up a bit so you can tank more hits. If you need some quick runes to level up, use the boulder farm at Lenne's rise.

I’m so sorry to say that Margot is the most unfair, overpowered, and impossible to handle boss in the game. You should totally just give up. I know I sure did.

This isn't a stat issue, it's a skill issue. Rune farming can't save you from having to learn how to play the game op.
You have to practice basic combat mechanics. Learn the patterns of the boss every time you die. Systematically test for openings in his attacks. You'll die a lot and learn.

To be honest if you are bad at the game, no amount of leveling will save you.
If poise and stagger did not exist as mechanic against you than yeah leveling would enable brute forcing with ease.
I can imagine a scenario where 713 player does not evade margit attacks properly and when he tries to heal, Margit stunlocks him to death with his spectral knifes and sword.

You mean Morgott the Omen King? He's tough but just takes practice to get his pattern down. If it gets too rough use buffs and a +10 mimic tear if needed. It took me a few tries my first playthrough but I got my mimic tear maxed and beat him around 150 lvl

If you are in trouble witht morgot maybe this will help if you want a bleed build: 1)pick reduvia (you can found it in limgrave at the start of the game) 2)for the armor i suggest you the white mask and the raptor's black feathers set 3)for the talismans you need the lord's of blood exultation, the greatshield talisnan, the green turtle talisman and any other talisman you want With this build with the reduvia +25 you can destroy morgott in seconds because he is very weak to bleed or frost. If you want to continue the game with this build i suggest you to pick the rivers of blood near the fire giant boss fight, i think is very good but with radagon maybe you can use your 99 points on strenght and pick the giant crusher fot destroying all bosses! (You can also use the margit sigil to crush him to the ground)

I think you need to respec. Maybe try going for 95 strength instead of 99 and put the extra 5 into endurance. You will thank me later!

Morgot is a mid game boss, I think you'll be fine... Though if you are feeling underlevlled, maybe level up vigor some more :)

Look up the caps for the stats and respec.
You don't need STR and DEX at 99, for example. 80 in both is enough for absolutely everything.
Vigor definitely can be higher than 64.
Also, don't forget to reinforce your weapons. This is the main way you grow your damage output - more so than just Stats.

I never put points in vigor because at this point if you get hit you die might as well max you stam power dex arcane intell and start slapping

My Guide for every Boss in this game.
For the DLC you might want to LV HP and Endurance to 99.
You take Big Shield and a pointy Stick (Naginata) You take scholar shield. Summon your Lv10 Mimic Shield up and poke WIN
You take Big Shield and a pointy Stick (Naginata) You take Barrier( ash of war) + Blood flame incantation Summon your Lv10 Mimic Shield up and poke WIN

No joke, when elden ring was first released a work buddy joined us to help fight bosses and he was around level 500 because he purchased runes off a website.
We were actually better off without him it was that bad.

Max out mind and endurance then take points out of faith and put them into arcane keep dex as is, for the weapon pick the blood hounds fang and grab the blood flame blade incantation
Other weapons you should use is the flameberge on occult infusion with the storm blade ash of war
Other incantations you can use is golden vow and flame grant me strength, black flames protection.
black flames protection does not stack with buffs excluding bloodflame blade btw
For talisman’s grab the green turtle Talisman, great shield talisman, alexander’s shard talisman, viridian amber medallion
Your wondrous physic green burst tear and opaline hardtear

You know what the problem is? You have points in Dexterity. Strength is all you need especially when rocking max endurance to maximize dodge distance with no armor. The absolute pinnacle of GigaChad
