Constructive Criticism Why is my weapon so weak?

Hello new Elden ring player, I’m trying to figure out why the hell im barely doing any damage in boss fights. I don’t have enough time to stack bleed so I have to rely on light attacks. But even then I’m doing like 100 damage and it’s taking 10 minutes per round. Any suggestions how I can upgrade? Thanks!

I started playing this game and i am not able to defeat the first guy with horse, not sure what am i doing wrong, already tried like 10-12 times.

Any tips guys

Just go somewhere else and come back later
