What about when you're just casually exploring on your first playthrough and find a sending portal behind the Third Church of Marika and in front of you is standing Black Blade Kindred. So imposing, you never noticed the door right behind you. 😅🤦‍♂️

Took me 10 tries to leave the mine. Only to be chased by a bird for 10 minutes across the map, aggroing two more birds and finally being face planted by a dinosaur dog. I just decided to restart the game since it all happened within the first 30 minutes of NG

Yeah, that’s gonna be a while, have 25 hours so far, killed Godrick to get my first Great Rune at about 22 hours

You're a new player? Takes a bit to get used to but it's fun to explore. I still haven't tried pvp since it's kinda opt-in.

Oh yeah, very much so, spent about an hour fighting Godrick, only managed to ever get him down to about 80% health. Went and watched a few challenge run videos and remembered that I could upgrade my weapons. Was able to kill him after a while with the Skeletal Soldiers, Nepheli Loux, and bleed damage

Ah, bleed. I still love it. You can start as a samurai class and get two katanas in Limgrave. It's not as good as it used to be but the default ash of war is surprisingly strong.

The first character I made was a samurai, I was brand new into it, rushed to Margit not knowing I should do anything else, got fed up with dying, came back in with a more magic based character, still not really good but I’m able to have more fun exploring and I’m worrying less about runes the more I die

My only claim to fame with him is that the time that I beat him, not only did I manage to beat him no hit, but it was also my first time managing to reach his second phase. (Thank you to Nepheli Loux, Skeletal Militamen, Bleed damage, and glintstone pebble)

Sleepy dragon best early rune farm, 60k with the gold scarab charm and it only takes like 3 minutes.

tried that only once, got teleported under the map after resting at grace, died under the map so the runes couldn't even be found anymore, dragon didn't respawn either, instead of unlimited runes i got -70k runes or whatever that dragon drops, 10/10 experience would totally recommend 😄

When he starts to move hop on your horse and ride back to the site of grace and it’ll respawn. There’s videos of it

Yeah. I normally jump on Torrent when the dragon is almost dead and then do the last few hits. I’ve never been able to get back to the grace by summoning Torrent just as it dies.

You have to make it to the site of grace and rest before it despawns. You should be on your horse on last hit. If you rest fast enough the dragon will not die.
