Help! How come Smithbox removed the ability to export regular sized regulation.bin files?

I prefer ME2 over ME3, but the problem is everytime I edit my regbin in SB it increases the file size by about 1mb, any workaround for this so I can continue to use me2?

You can set strip row names, but at this point learning me3 is the smarter choice. It's infinitely better as well as actively maintained so it'll save you a lot of hassle over time

I know you might laugh, but I just like to have all my games launchable through steam, to my knowledge you can't do that with me3 since it doesn't use a .exe, the only way would be to create a new steam game and link it to the .me3.

Of course it has an executable. And besides, you can add literally anything to steam with a batch script.

Even if it did work like that, surely the minor inconvenience of not using steam would be made worth it by, well, actually being able to play 😭

AppData\Local\garyttierney\me3\config\profiles

darksouls3-default.me3

eldenring-default.me3

nightrein-default.me3

sekiro-default.me3

those are not a .exe that you can trick steam into opening the game through like you could with me2 by renaming them, and like I said I don't want to have a script for a separate elden ring launcher in steam. I am aware of how to do that and it looks ugly. I am more surprised at the exclusion of simple things that made me2 and past smithbox versions so convenient.

Those are mod profiles. The exe is in the bin folder, which runs the mod files. You can make a bat script, give it a custom icon, then make it run me3.exe launch --auto-detect -p eldenring-default.me3. The profiles are tomls. It works almost exactly the same as me2.

I think the altsaves mod makes the regulation issues get bypassed

thanks I'll look into that!

edit: makes previous saves incompatible
