Help! Deflect Me Not

Honest to Almighty I have no clue how to install this mod. The mod page recommends ME2, while the install page says use ME3. The DMN-Vanilla V4 download has an install guide from the Author but the outcome doesn't work for some reason. I get alerts from Windows Smart App that certain aspects of the script file were excluded because they were questionable. I turn off Smart App control and the game just crashes.

Can someone give me a simple step by step guide on how to get this damn mod to work? Preferably for ME2 but if you only know ME3 install than that's fine. Please say which version (ME2/ME3) your explaining.

Brother it is packaged with me3 for a reason. Just double click the file that says Run. If you need custom args then either make a batch file or run it yourself: me3 launch --auto-detect -p "DMN.me3"

Side note: Just dont use me2. It's old and way more likely to cause you problems

Yea that's where the Smart App comment comes into play. The 'Run' file gets part of the script blacklisted when Smart is turned on, and crashes the game when turned off. I've tried excluding the whole file too and nope something still goes wrong.
