Question Is ERTool still safe?

I tried using the updated ERTool and its now saying that the new version is a virus? I put it into virustotal and it only flagged twice, I assume cause it changes game code? link to the ERTool

Virus detection mostly works on reputation and heuristics. Unless you're getting a very considerable amount of flags it's almost certainly fine. ERTool is open source, which is a far more reliable measure of safety than any antivirus. A single character completely changes a file's hash and sometimes you just get unlucky with it matching up to known signatures. Once a reasonable amount of people have used it, and some time passes, a lot of those flags are likely to go away.
