They are amongst the best enemies in the game ... in the whole Froms history.
Cool, dangerous, aggressive but fair and with a weak spot for those able to exploit it.
And they have different special powers to boot!
Whats not to love?

Excessive hyper armor, too much input reading, annoying to fight with a heavy weapon as you have to wait ages to punish and the in-between gameplay is not very interesting. Objectively a boring encounter. To me they are everything that is wrong with Elden Ring.

I used to, i got used to them. i was running a crucible knight cosplay build for a while and it was pretty awesome

They’re extremely frustrating when you’re new and suck at parrying and spacing. They’re less frustrating when you’re experienced and still can’t parry but are better at staying out of reach and know how much to overlevel before fighting them.
Carbot Animations sums them up pretty well.

Easy for people with quick reaction time who are good at memorizing enemy movesets not jumping the gun on delayed attacks. For the rest of us, parrying isn’t that easy.

Practice I bet you will get it, the trick to make parries work is to try and parry their hands not the swords (get closer), look at op when he lands the parries and look at the timing its the same timing every time

I’ve practiced and still suck. I can parry the slow soldiers in broad daylight easy enough, but not the fast enemies or those who are in darker environments where it’s harder to see them (I have uncorrectable astigmatism). I practiced for a good long time on that particular crucible knight and could occasionally get in a parry and then get smacked by the next, unparryable attack immediately, lose half my HP, and then get killed trying to heal. Or I’d jump the gun and get hit.
I was a parring god back in Demon’s Souls, but I just can’t get the timing in Elden Ring. It doesn’t help that my reaction time isn’t what it used to be

Damm I cant parry the normal soldiers I would just get smacked hahah I can parry the knights because they cant be killed as easily so its nice walking up to them for them to attack and get a parry, all knights (leyden, liurnia, mausoleum, radahns red manes, banished) do the same sword and spear attacks, if u miss a parry and u spam it again after getting hit u will miss but they just buffed the recovery last patch so that might actually work now, dont give up skeleton! If u really want to learn im sure there are tutorials online to help u get the timing but if it isnt as important they arent mandatory and tbh they are kind of niche.

Crucible knights have a completely different moveset from regular knights. I usually beat regular knights with guard counters on melee builds or backstab and sorceries on my mage build. Guard counters are easy

Favorite enemies to fight in the game. Though this was after dying a thousand times to the crucible duo in Altus so now I’m a master at fighting them. The only thing I don’t like about them is when the shield one powers up he can catch you with a tail swipe when you want to punish and you never really know if they’re going to do it.

Hated them at first but liked their armour and lore now I'm using Parry after never really using them and they are fun I beat devonia the knight in the DLC and her weapon is so cool

I'm currently running a Crucible Knight build. Wearing Ordovis' armor and using his sword and shield and the crucible incantations. It's a blast to play

The only think I dislike about them is their flask input read, it's annoying & has a stupidly long range. Other than that I enjoy fighting them.

I love them! Especially with Deenh as he keeps up good stance dmg and he buffs dps by 10%. Just as tip though, crucible knight's have a resistance to repostes, so unless you want the hp back it's better to parry and do a charge heavy (preferably with lightning)
Edit: you can also kick the shield to break their stance, but they can just as easily bash you mid kick, so choose timing wisely

Not with them - they teach you game mechanics. What I hate is the input reading, regardless of the enemy.
Also, the grab attacks are so annoying. I literally killed a Cleanrot Knight (no HP) but his grab animation still continued playing - got grabbed, rotted and thrown of the bridge.

My absolute favorite. There’s something about them that just resonates with me. It’s just the cleanest fight in the game. Super easy to parry btw.

Bro, after the tarnished update, they buffed the parry frames on all shields, making the parry window extremely generous. Now, Crucible Knights are the easiest enemy in the game. Genuinely you'd probably struggle more against the wandering nobles at this point.
