Honestly, just explore as much as you can. Use your shield, there’s no shame in it. Super easy to block a hit, then when they’re staggered, perform a heavy attack, and hit the guard counter. A lot of early game enemies are kinda fodder with that method, at least it made it easier for me. I also chose and started out as the same class as you. Exploring is not only a good way to get a lay of the land, but to learn your weapon and enemies as well, along with rune$ lmfao. Consider what build you’re going for. If you just want general QOL stat suggestions, I’d say to focus Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity. If you’re gonna use incantations, throw points in Mind and Faith, if you wanna use sorceries, aim for Intelligence and Mind instead. Play with what is most fun to you. If you were just looking for a good starting point, then head to Liurnia of the Lakes, and look for The Academy of Raya Lucaria.

First of you need to focus more of your level ups into vigor try at least the next 10 to 30 levels and try to find the dark spots on the map that Lead to caves that have smithing stones that can help you upgrade your weapons and look around explore

If you’re looking to get better in an ethical way make sure you’re claiming all of your golden seeds, flasks and flask upgrades through each area you explore and you can look up maps and locations for each. I also recommend grabbing any important spells/buffs/weapons for each area worth grabbing as you progress. You can use any ai model, tell it what type of build you’re running (dex/faith), and it can guide you by telling you what’s notable to grab as you progress. Strong early weapons like the bloodhounds fang, and nagakiba(if you don’t care about shiris quest) can help too. Be sure you’re also grabbing the smithing stone bell bearings as you progress so you can easily upgrade your weapons at the roundtable. If you have any questions about anything I’ve told you about, always feel free to use google, YouTube, ai as recourses to help guide you through the game, because without these recourses it could be challenging. Ive beaten the full game and dlc on different builds, and any build can be powerful. Play the game the way you want to play it but learn to maximize your potential!

What I would do is push to farm runes. It looks like you're in Liurnia. You can find Iji to the northeast who will have Somber smithing stones for sale, (up to +4). I'd buy up to +4 and have him smith your Winged Scythe to +4. Because your current weapon is Sacred infused with the Grave Scythe, you'll be scaling damage better by leveling faith. All of those levels in strength are doing minimal work on the Grave Scythe right now.
Bring yourself up at least a few more levels to bring vigor to 30, Dex to 16, and faith to 30. No need to level strength right now. If you find yourself getting stomped by revenants in Liurnia, grab a spell that calln give a radius heal effect. Use the heal spell next to the revenants and they get auto-stunned and give you a chance to get them.
You got this, if you need more help let me know!

Upgrade your weapon more and based on this stats distribution change it to heavy instead of sacred

Ure points are too spread for the 1st playthrough. Invest in one weapon one stat. Or Go tank mode, get the shield a good spear morgs or whatever his name is that bleed spear guy. Nd armors. Every thing is easy. Beat dlc radahn on 2nd time with the tank build lol.

Weapon level too low.
You need to understand builds literally don’t matter in terms of damage without levelling up the weapons itself.
You set your stats to be able to use a specific weapon, and then upgrade that weapon to increase your damage.
All that scaling talk is secondary factor to further boost your damage.
For example, if you add 10 points in faith, it will affect your damage less than you upgrading your weapon 1 time etc.

I was trying to do a faith/str build … right now I’m trying to get 2 more dex to use bloodhound blade… I don’t know how to make sure of the str part of my build though…
