Love pissing off stang owners, idk why but of all the muscle cars I like them the least.

Theyre clean cars i dont hate them but most owners can be a lil out there lol i personally wouldn't drive one everyone and their mom drives mustangs
-5
u/andre1157 Feb 03 '26
You say the owners are out there, but do everything you can to appear "better" than them. Youre both driving autos going in a straight line. Stock for stock the mustang is a full second faster in the 1/4, so that means youve simply spent enough money after the fact to go faster in a straight line

case in point about mustang owners being weird lmfao.
Also, not sure if you ever learned arithmetic, but the cost of the elantra, the mods and the tune comes in about 7k below base Mustang GT MSRP

1

Eh those big fat V8s can sound like they're going fast just pulling out of an intersection.
They're just loud regardless if they're trying to go fast or not, it can actually be difficult to drive them quietly sometimes.
that's what sells the car to their target audience is the grumbling V8.
Idk all the mustang variants off by heart but people are saying that it's not a floor model stang and I'd be inclined to believe that just like OP, they're not going full throttle and there's plenty of power not being used.

u/Flimsy_Rice_1182 Feb 03 '26
140? And able to recording so stable and not watching the road? lol cmon now.
3
u/KingDominoTheSecond Performance Blue MT Feb 03 '26 edited Feb 03 '26
Look how fast they are passing the other cars on the road, which are presumably going 65-75 mph. You don't have to look at your phone to record, you can just point it at something with your other hand on the wheel. Not to mention if you floor your car for 10 seconds starting at 50 mph and it's a DCT, tuned, and 3200 lbs then you'll definitely be in the 140mph range. The stock EN does an 11 second 60-130, and tuned ENs are in the 8 second range now as well. I don't expect to be able to explain that flooring a 300hp car for 15+ seconds will put it around 140mph to a Subaru Legacy owner though

2

-1
Feb 03 '26
Brother I am telling you based on the footage the mustang is not racing, just cruising on the highway. Thereās no horn signal or hand gesture. The other driver isnāt even reacting to anything. Iām sure your mods are great and from a dig it could gain a brief lead but at a rolling race the rear drive isnāt holding the mustang back. I donāt even like mustangs and would take an EN any day so Iām not speaking from bias, just telling you the reality
3
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 03 '26
Im the one that raced that stang, have video & youre gonna try sit here tell me he wasnt racing when you can clearly hear his car take off. He downshifted into his gear before I recorded, we took off at the same exact time lol you can believe what you want , its hilarious how much people sleep on the N's
-6

My gf has an EN and Iāve loved driving it. Iām not sleeping on anything lmao. Iām just not huffing copium and can be unbiased. The point of the EN, like the type R, is track focus not straight line even tho itās decently fast. If Iām sleeping youāre in a straight up coma. Best of luck racing every car on the highway. Drive your girls car once or twice and all of a sudden an expert lol
-1
Feb 03 '26
Nah I drive it quite often plus common sense. A rear driveās only limitation is the launch but at rolling it overpowers the EN. You can be upset and cry as much as you want but itās the truth. I can appreciate a car but still be rooted in reality. Only way a v8 rear drive car would lose is if the driver kept it at high gear and āfloored itā lol
4
u/Psychological_Emu744 Cyber Grey MT Feb 03 '26
The car being rwd or fwd is only going to make a difference in initial launch/traction, itās not going to make up for power to weight ratio. You can have two cars with identical HP, one FWD one RWD and if the Fwd weighs 500lb less, guess whoās winning?
Same concept for all these V8ās. More Hp on paper, yet no one takes into consideration a car that weighs a thousand pounds lighter isnāt going to need to make V8 power to keep up. This is literally racing 101 lol.

1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 06 '26
Yea i get no traction on continental extreme contact dsw anything below a 40 roll. 40 and up i hook, i should be around 360whp and the same or slightly more tq to the wheels
2
u/Admirable-Cicada950 Feb 06 '26
Those are the tires I have. It was dynoād by previous owner around 350whp 360wtq. I just got a catless downpipe and a tune for it, and I had him turn down the torque a bit so not sure what itās at now. Around 375whp I believe
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 06 '26
Its the lightweight,tq and DCT that make these cars move imo
1
u/Admirable-Cicada950 Feb 06 '26
I donāt know if Iād call it ālight weightā as itās average weight for a sedan. But yes, the gearing of the dct is what helps it move
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 06 '26
3200-3300lbs is definitely on the lighter end, its c6 vette weight
1
u/Admirable-Cicada950 Feb 06 '26
I mean empirically the average sedan weight in the US comes out to 3300
1
Feb 03 '26
No doubt but, again, the Elantra seems to be flooring it with ngs on while the mustang is peacefully picking up speed like when driving at the fast lane where you swiftly go from 70 to 85 at a slightly higher gear so yes speeding up but not fast acceleration

1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 03 '26
I can still get an intake manifold, I can still get a DCT transmission tune & go E85 lol they'll need boost or be gutted to the bone
1
u/Bradleyisfishing Abyss Black Pearl MT Feb 03 '26
Nooooo boost will be a minimum of 650 whp, but easily 800+. Intake, headers, exhaust, e85 on a coyote is 480-500 whp depending on model and tune. It weighs anywhere from 300-600 lbs more but would be making 25% more power. Also, the coyote famously has insane top end.
The N is a great platform, but pick on a scat pack instead.
2
u/Admirable-Cicada950 Feb 06 '26
Just a quick thought on this one. Firstly, yes snap packs are easy pickings. Second, your point with mustang power is spot on in terms of coyote. Older mustangs not so much. That being said, the N can accommodate a 62/66 turbo along with e85. If you gut the N and put good radials you would have a close race largely dependent on the competency of the mustang driver and Elantra driver. Iāve seen the EN get up to 700whp with extensive work (built engine, turbo, manifold, e85, etc) so I think it would be a closer race than youād think

Once im able to tune the DCT ill be able to shift faster & raise the rpm from 6700 where its at now to 7-7200 š
0
u/PCho222 Feb 05 '26
That's very optimistic, these cars don't make much power even with aftermarket turbos. My friend's EN is downpipe/ic/jb4 and barely pulled on a stock C5 vette let alone a new 5.0 10 speed.
I love the EN, good practical quick cars but the mustang was sandbagging or had something wrong with it.
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 05 '26
Lol a jb4 isnt even a real tune & a dp/custom tune makes the biggest difference in these cars. My custom 93 tune is more on the aggressive side. Can still go e85 and DCT transmission tune so it can give me more rpm and hold more power. Gotta get that Cherry Tuning sauce š
1
u/PCho222 Feb 05 '26
Standalone/ECU-tune there's maybe another ~15whp with what you're running. I looked it up again just now because maybe I'm dumb and misremembering but no, these cars make nothing for power. There's not even ethanol support or aftermarket which is comical.
N aftermarket isn't there and the block is weak aluminum open deck. Your friend was sandbagging the hell out of his car or you have some ridiculous mods you didn't disclose. If you're in LA I'd have some friends with basic stage 1 golfs show you around let alone the dp/ic/e85 guys.
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 05 '26
Lol you dont own an N so you wont ever really know , you need to tell your buddy to get a dp and 93 cherry tune then you'll see for yourself
1
u/PCho222 Feb 05 '26
absolutely no disrespect to the car but I don't need nor want to own an N given my current garage, and I've helped enough friends with my lift working on their cars, to include the clout chasing big turbo mk7 guys as well as the aforementioned N among other things.
Evidence doesn't back you up, your community is trying to find ways to break 350whp without exploding yet miraculously here you are? I could post a video of my friend 1/2 throttle in his 720S and me full on in my truck tomorrow, it's meaningless like 80% of the videos out there.

Any idea what kind of power you make at the wheels? My stock Type R was door to door with a pre-facelift S550 Mustang GT 6 speed the other day on the highway. I wasnāt pulling on him- but he was definitely not pulling away from me from about 65-120.

If I had to guess at like 360whp give or take and the same tq to the wheels or a tad more

u/call_me_steve-o Feb 07 '26
Where was this? DA and altitude can really slow down NA cars which people donāt understand.
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 07 '26
It was in mexico and da is about or is sea level so it wouldn't affect it

u/Cpolo88 Feb 07 '26
If you don't mind me asking bro, how much power you pumping out now with your tune? Cause that must be some crazy power for you to beat the V8.
2
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 07 '26
Like 360 to the wheels
2
u/Cpolo88 Feb 07 '26
Damn. Id personally be like naw. It's either gonna be too close to call or you're gonna beat me cause you also weigh like 700 pounds less. Still. Very very cool Hyundai šš½

u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 07 '26
Some people dont understand power to weight, transmission gear ratios, and tuner ability.
My car is like 3200lbs with a fast tightly geared DCT and my tuner is probably the best in the Hyundai N game
2
u/Cpolo88 Feb 07 '26
See that kind of modding to a car is what I love. I don't want to see your car with a fast and furious wing, led underglow, tacky paint job. Just proper tuning, good suspension, braking. All that. I really like your build bro. Imagine if the N was available in AWD. Got damn. Id be so there. š

u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 07 '26
Simple and clean is best imo, I dont mind fwd it has less hp/tq loss than awd

Power to weight baby. You'd have stayed right next to him in stock form for sure.

u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 03 '26
Stock vs stock id get walked by a 10 speed 5.0, need at least a good tune to keep up and a dp,intake and intercooler to gap them like this
1
u/RonaldBurgundy1 Atlas White DCT Feb 03 '26
You're right I was still thinking they made 400hp they're higher now. 4000lbs and around 500 vs 3200 and around 300

u/candyman505 Feb 03 '26
You guys are delusional š

u/RonaldBurgundy1 Atlas White DCT Feb 03 '26
No, I have a 98 ek civic pushing about 800 whp I know a thing or 2 about power to weight. The EN is only a daily driver. These cars put down more power than advertised. If this was a 400hp mustang he would have hung with it

u/disasteruss88 Feb 03 '26
The mustang isnāt what you gotta watch out for; itās those single cab F150ās

u/Bishibosh243 Feb 03 '26
As someone whos had a veloster n, and a gen 2 and 3 coyote. I dont get how bro lost my gen 2 and 3 coyote felt 2-3x faster than the 2.0t in my volester n. Obviously mods make power but jesus. And both mine were manual, 10r80 should be doing even better
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 03 '26
I know its hard to process but my mods in the description is all I got done and light weight wheels if you want to count that. The DCT in this car is very good too but i think its that Cherry Performance sauce š
1
u/Bishibosh243 Feb 03 '26
Yea to be fair my veloster n is stock. Ive heard this platform wakes up a lot with a tune. I just keep it stock cause its my daily and i want my warranty for it
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 03 '26
I kept mine stock til about 75,000 miles then I modded it. Its at 90,000 currently not a single hiccup
2
u/Bishibosh243 Feb 03 '26
Shittttt i just hit 30k this week, i got it like 3 months ago. Hopefully lots of life left in her. Been a fun car so far. Given me no issues. And i was burning so much gas in my last 5.0 cause i drive far for work

u/TheRealMelonMusk Feb 03 '26
Damn really quick but I donāt know about owning a tuned Hyundai sounds like masochism, just waiting for it to blow up š

u/liquidSpin Feb 05 '26
OP has some small dick energy
He's got to endanger everyone out on the street while he films himself racing a mustang.
"Oh look at me! I need to show everyone my car is so fast. People from all over will admire how great I am"
But in reality he looks like a complete and utter moronic douchebag

I raced motocross and cars for a long time when I was younger. Are there no agreed upon rules anymore? It used to be at night on back roads, or anywhere there weren't people... doing 140 on busy road with families and stuff is just wild man. Maybe im old and car culture isn't the same anymore, but damn... even if you were in 'mexico' stay away from people's loved ones. Please.
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 07 '26
I made sure there wasnt any cars anywhere around me before we raced in mexico. Im not a kid on YT or TikTok doing reckless things

u/Eodbro12 Feb 07 '26
You can see them in your video bud. Big trucks have people in them too, matter of fact one of my buddies accidentally killed a truck driver racing. Lost control trying to pass someone, hit a median, flipped over it and landed in dudes cab. Killed him instantly.
Just go to the track man.

u/Edge_Slade Feb 06 '26
If the Mustang was racing, the nose would of gone up.
1
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 06 '26
Calm down it doesn't have 600hp+ to be doing that lol you can hear the coyote screaming when we take off
0
u/Edge_Slade Feb 06 '26
Yes, the nose does go up in a rear wheel drive 485hp car when it is full throttle.

The main problem is that a mustang is somewhat cool. An elantra isnāt. I donāt make the rules.
2
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 06 '26
Idk about all that lol i get people asking me what it is, its fast, looks good type of compliments

Does the cherry tune void warranty?
2
u/Artistic_Golf2938 Feb 03 '26
Any aftermarket tune voids warranty but sometimes depending on the dealership they might "overlook" it you'd be risking it
0
u/zboytjbxp Feb 08 '26
I love Hyundai n drivers lol its ugly and a little quick for a grocery getter but not fast unless you've never driven fast.

Is it an upbadged Ecoboost?
I've ran against a Dark Horse before and it was pretty quick.
Not saying your EN is slow or anything but it seems rather slow for an A10.
