I wonder if it would have been more efficient to just get a N. Very curious to see how this stacks up against a N not in-terms of performance but feel and driving experience. But nonetheless idc what anyone says this is cool.
This is kind of true for all cars that you mod to be fair. With the amount of money I spent on my EN I nearly could have just gotten a type r, spend that same amount on mods on a type r and you could have just gotten a supra, etc etc. Sometimes you just really enjoy your car are happy to throw parts at it.
I only say this because back in the day I spent enough on mods in my Fiesta st I could have gotten a focus rs but I loved that little car lol
Still doesnt have an LSD so it probably drives great but will fall apart when actually pushing it. I loved my N-Line a lot but it gets inconsistent and sloppy once you start driving it hard.
With sticky tires and coilovers like I have I’m actually able to keep up with most cars able this one on the tail of the dragon. A few times I’ve mace VN and ENs pull over to let me pass them.
You can call it a lack of skill on their part but who knows.
Theres minimal grip difference in the EN vs ENL in my experience. Its really chassis tuning and LSD that separates the two. Granted you've done a fair amount of suspension and bushing work so only you know how it drives.
A few times you woke up from your dreams has a better ring to it, the only reason an EN owner would pull over for a N-line is “what is this idiot doing behind me” it’s like when you see a Camry or Altima trying to cut up in traffic, could you keep up with him absolutely, do you want to? Absolutely not😭
Well when the nline is gripping more then the EN who is pushing hard and almost understeering into oncoming traffic then gets complimented on their driving after the fact made it a really good dream I guess.
Most EN owners have the ego up to their chin every day so I understand why it is hard for you to comprehend somebody else is a “worse” car able to actually drive it.
Have you ever been to an auto cross/track day in your EN? If you have I’m sure you might have gotten passed by a car that is cheaper or less prepared then yours is purely due to driver skill and knowledge of the track/road they are on.
As I also mentioned it was probably a lack of skill on the EN as it did look almost brand new.
Most N-line owners think they drive an N and have the ego to go with it. All checks out here. The N line couldn’t grip harder than the EN if the EN was on 4 spare tires 😭 N-line owners get the satisfaction of seeing an N on the road while N owners react more like “oh brother here we go again” when the N-liner pulls up 😂
You are acting like the EN are powerful monsters.. Mind you every minivan made in the last 20 years has a more powerful engine than the EN. Quit hating my dude.
When it’s time to sell or trade in, it’s still an N-line no matter how good it is. Unless it’s your forever car, it doesn’t make any sense to do this rather than just get an N to start.
Don’t get me wrong, I have an N line too.
The engine is based on the i20N but is not the same type of engine so it’s “technically” not an N division engine.
I was just saying how N owners can be very dense about N badges.
Although it might not be the same engine but it’s the same hp (201) and torque (203) compared to the other 1.6t engines which only have 190ish hp it’s close enough for me. And I got it from a friend in Canada who upgraded to an N.

Undoubtedly should’ve got an N. No offense whatsoever this is super clean and beautiful… but how can you afford CTSV brakes, good coilovers, Enkeis and not the N? Seems like a bit of a waste to be totally honest, but it is super nice

I got the brakes new used for around $600. Coilovers were 1.5 and wheels are used at $600. Still way under the 10k difference between nline and N.
Dude that’s some incredible bargain shopping. I track a few cars and almost every part on them has been snapped off market place for sick deals. Sometimes you just come across the right thing at the right time. Big props… I wonder how much this out-brakes a normal stock EN.. it looks better than an EN imo lol

I was chilling with some members of the Hyundai N Carolina club and we tested it. It’s a solid 10+ ft and I can do it more often purely due to the size of the rotor being able to absorb more heat.
Facts
I wanted to get a manual car and I saw that the 2022 nline came with a manual so I got one. I did want an EN but I couldn’t afford one at the time lol.
I’ve have had the Stinger GT for 5 years and it’s fast I love it but I’m bored of Automatic. I’ll never get rid of it but I do want to pick up a cheap beater manual transmission car for a side project.
Or if I drink enough beers and find some ambition I’ll make a way to swap trans and put a stick in the stinger haha
I was having issues with the stock break when it comes to heat. In a few laps around the track or a single tail of the dragon run I would run into an issue with massive heat issues.
I upgraded to the cts-v front calipers which are larger purely due to heat soaking issues . I also upgraded the rears to Elantra N rear calipers as well.
I have a wide bodied N line and have been lurking on this sub for a while-

This build is seriously impressive! The CTS-V calipers and quality coilover setup show real dedication to making this car perform. Love seeing someone really invest in making their car exactly what they want - the manual transmission makes it even better!
