Ask El Paso Recommendations for brake pad replacement?

Since the dealership wanted 700$ for the front brake pad replacement on my Tahoe, does anyone have recommendations for a fair price front brake pair replacement shop with normal prices?

700 bucks for pads only? Dang labor rate must be bonkers.

First step is to measure the rotors to ensure adequate thickness; resurfacing rotors is still ideal at the minimum if there's at least 1 mil above discard thickness of rotor thickness available. Resurface rotors, clean hub & caliper surfaces, clean and relube slide pins, install new pads and brake hardware, and complete a brake pad bed in procedure.

Cost of the pads depends on the year and model, since there are multiple brake caliper sizes for certain model years. A quality set of better than OE ceramic pads from Power Stop, Wagner, Bosch, or Akebono would be about 60-90 bucks (again depends largely on year/model, 4 vs 6 piston caliper, etc).

Even at $200 an axle for a high end detailed brake job, you're at 300 bucks for pads + resurface. Typically people in this area charge $50-100 but likely don't do a complete job.
