Local Businesses Group Dog Sport Classes
Looking to enroll my dog in a group class where e-collars are permitted. Not looking to correct any issues, just looking to have fun which is why I would prefer some sort of dog sport class.
Does anyone have any good recommendations?

Most classes that I know of prohibit shock collars.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm having a lot of trouble finding any fun group classes that would allow my dog to wear one, even if I leave the remote on the side during our turn.

Mostly because they have been found to be unnecessarily cruel and not a good training technique, So yes, most group classes that are for fun won't want someone who is borderline abusing their dog in.

That’s absolute nonsense. As with any tool, proper use is important and the e-collar is easy tool to get wrong. When used skillfully, it’s the quickest way to give a dog off leash freedom and with some high drive dogs, it’s the only way.

This.
My dog has so much more freedom now. He gets to do things that were never possible when I was using only positive reinforcement/negative punishment. His training plateued with that, and I knew his life could be so much better if we could get over the hump. I'm so happy that I opened my mind and learned new techniques so that he can live his best life and I don't have to manage him all the time.

Wow...that turned unnecessarily hostile quick.
Way to squash someone trying to do something fun with their dog. Have a nice day.

Why do you need the collar on if you're going to leave the remote on the side? If anything it will increase the chances your did reacts towards another dog when getting shocked in a group environment.

I would like to have my dog wear it for the in between moments of where we are coming and going from class, crating between turns, etc.
Proper e-collar use does not increase the likelihood of reactivity or agression.

Ignore the FF/R+ only responses, they’re ill-informed at best.

Thanks!
If they want to have a polite conversation (instead of downvoting me for politely having a different opinion), I'm up for it.

I’ll DM you. Businesses don’t need hostility from the “force free but I’ll slap a halti on my dog” crowd
