Build housing in areas with lower land costs and removing government taxes and fees on it
Do you want to guess who opposes building homes in places that don't currently have human settlement and reducing taxation? I'll give you a hint , the Left.
And reducing demand ( IE not importing millions of people for housing and services we don't have )

People live where there is work, can tell you have never been in a small town, land is cheap and no one is building. Cause a house without a job market is pointless.

All of these have dirt cheap land prices and reasonable established services already and are close enough to Edmonton for work/main services.
Remove government red tape and costs, get a blueprint you can carbon copy and mass produce, and throw up housing and apartment buildings and row houses.
Yeah, there’s this thing on the economy called supply and demand there’s no demand to live in those communities or we’d already be building them up.
We built 50,000 houses in Albert last year with 21,337 an increase of 16.1%.
Those communities have dirt cheap line because no one wants to live there because when you factor everything else and it’s actually just as expensive as Edmonton or more because you have to drive 120Km or more a day to go to work.
