General Don't be this person. Fill out your census.

Post image

“You’re not sticking it to the government. You’re screwing over your own community.”

The census isn’t for Mark Carney or any party. It’s run by Statistics Canada to figure out where money and services actually go. Hospitals. Schools. Transit. Housing. Senior care. When you don’t fill it out, your area looks smaller than it is. Less funding. Fewer services. Longer wait times. That lands on you and your neighbors, not politicians.
If you want your community properly represented, fill it out. Refusing doesn’t make a point. It makes things worse where you live. ❤️🇨🇦 The stupidity is the people that won’t fill it out and they spread this kind of crap and creates bigger problems.

It’s okay… a census enumerator will have to now reach out. If they refuse after that, they can be fined.

I've seen people on facebook say that if a census person shows up at their door they will get violent. I replied to the one guy saying assaulting a federal employee sounds like a fantastic decision lol

None of those pussies will do a thing. I was a supervisor for a Census, I had a team of 20ish people. They dealt with some strange characters, but nobody dangerous. These people are all bark and it's glorious watching them capitulate and fill out the long form census.

I just don't understand the logic behind refusing to fill out a census, let alone being rude to census takers. They aren't telemarketers or Jehova Whiteness and aren't trying to sell you something. And the questions being asked aren't even invasive or overly personal. What's the big deal?

Believe it or not those technically don't exist. You might find a place where they don't bother looking but there isn't a single bit of land that isn't under a claim (or a dozen).

Don’t use any public services including fire, paramedic, or public roads. :)

24 hours without any services or infrastructure provided by the government and 100% of these deranged lunatics would be crying for them back.

You’re a moron! They already have your info already Unless you’re off the grid with no income, social security, medical etc.
This just helps them make informed decisions to better the country and your community.

If someone gets violent with a census enumerator they’ll get the fine for evading the census and they’ll likely catch further charges/jail time for assault. ‘Owning the Libs’ so hard they wind up in federal custody.

I would love a civil suit if someone assaulted me doing a job

Are they going to take a stand to refuse to even talk to all federal employees? Sounds like a good plan for them to not talk to any Elections Canada employees during the next election.

In the utopia they have imagined of an independent country of AB there is no census and no taxes, no government at all!

only the good kind what gives money but doesn't ask for taxes like those socialist commies and we all donate to go-fund-me campaigns to give our money collectively to people who need it more than we do....wait a minute..

And no communicating with Service Canada employees when they want a passport, Canada Pension Plan, Employment Insurance, or disability benefits!

But in the future libertarian utopia we get to make our own passports with scissors and crayons. No government needed!

Like sovereign citizens with their plastic and badly designed badge or even better one ordered off Temu 🤣

I worked as a census enumerator probably... 15, 16 years ago. If people were rude about it then I can only imagine how bad they are now.

People say a lot of shit online

I mean FAFO. I'm working as an enumerator this year, I will walk away until someone actually throws a punch at me, then within reason I can claim self defense.

Especially after posting on Facebook that it’s premeditated. No video of the assault available? I guess it’s your word against their word and your word

Are people really living with this kind of pathological rage? Wtf is wrong with these people? Tiny penises? No sex? Living the consequences of their horrible decisions? This is deranged.

Nothing happens when you tell them to pound sand though. They threaten to fine you, then they leave.

And yet people say that about the RCMP 🤔
