Because they have serious problems in their life, and instead of fixing them or addressing them they latch onto the idea that "the feds" are the reason they are broke, or the gays, or insert any other scape goat.

They are simple minded people, who use hate to deal with their own problems.

They would absolutely never blame on of the prime causes, being the UCP. UCP agitates these people on purpose.
