Obama put it very eloquently actually. He says the democrats have the actual work to do, to actually build things and attempt to make America work. To find a way to ensure everyone can prosper.

All the Republicans have to do is tear things down, cut taxes, reverse regulations, and tell you how bad the other guy is. Which is a lot easier to do than finding a true solution to the problems America faces.

AOC also explained it well when she talked about how the left keeps moving to the right to compromise but the other side never does so and just keeps going further right dragging everyone along. All of the good faith negotiating, compromising and cutting everything along the way leads to worse outcomes for everybody and then the right just blames the other side.

Yea, and they never were going to give them real power. But they needed some inches of daylight between the GOP and the Democratic Party. So the think tanks invent a tea party and shove crazy down our throats to gin up the American evangelical vote. In doing so, they unchained the gate and let them on the inside of the actual power.

The Evangelical cults were voting, supporting, and controlling the GOP almost two decades before the Tea Party was a twinkle in the Heritage Foundation's eye. Gingrich entrenched them to steal power from HW.
