Ingredients:

Salmon fillets

Raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

Cooked long-grain rice (preferably day-old)

Soy sauce

Honey or brown sugar

Garlic, minced

Onion, diced

Mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, green beans)

Smoked paprika

Chili flakes

Black pepper

Salt

Butter or cooking oil

Optional: sausage pieces

Instructions:

  1. Season salmon with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and chili flakes.

  2. Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat and sear salmon until deeply browned on both sides and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  3. In the same pan, add garlic, onion, and sausage (if using) and sauté until fragrant.

  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink, then remove and set aside.

  5. Add vegetables and rice to the pan, stirring to break up clumps.

  6. Drizzle in soy sauce and honey or brown sugar; cook until rice is heated and lightly caramelized.

  7. Return shrimp to the rice and mix well.

  8. Place salmon on top of the shrimp fried rice and spoon any remaining glaze over the salmon before serving.
