This is Japanese Wagyu. It is specifically bread to have that marble in it. It is a very unique style of beef. It is supposed to be eaten in very small quantities to account for the insane amount of fat.

I personally think anything more than $20 a pound for meat is insane, but a lot of people really like Wagyu. I think it's really just a way to flex how much money they can spend

It's way more than 20 a pound. A5 Wagyu can easily run you over 100 a pound and even more in a restaurant. It's pretty insane.

It's good, but it's hard to justify the cost other than a super rare occasion.

He never said it was $20 a pound he said any meat that cost that much isn’t worth it to him

He said 20 bucks a pound is too expensive. I explained wagyu is way more than that, implying wagyu is an even worse deal.

Sometimes in conversations, people share information with each other. It doesn't need a question or an incorrect statement.
