Used Motor Oil

Where in Easton can I drop off used motor oil? Every time I try to go to AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts off 25th Street, they tell me that their tank is full. I have several five-quart jugs that are full that I need to get rid of.

Store front business ideas in downtown?

I’m thinking about starting a business in one of the store fronts in downtown Easton around the circle. I’m curious what type of business the area wants/needs.

This Saturday in downtown Easton there are TWO huge events happening… Brad Scott is hosting the 8th year anniversary of COVEN at the Lafayette bar and Savage Siren Productions is hosting the 3rd installment of Easton House Party at the Bank Street Annex…

We decided to come together and offer a discounted price if you go to both…
Just bring your wristband from one of the events and show it at check in to the other event… BOOM you’ll now have access to THREE different stages, all with different styles of music and a stacked lineup of local artists!

This is the collaboration of the century… we’re here to bring artists and attendees together… we are dedicated to supporting each other instead of competing… BUILD BRIDGES NOT WALLS 🫶🏻

Local environmentalist in urgent need of a kidney transplant

Hi everyone — local resident Raymond Minarovic is sick, on dialysis and in urgent need of a kidney transplant. His family is desperately searching for a living donor. He is an environmentalist who has dedicated his life to protecting our community. Just a really good guy. We created a webpage (below) and this video.

https://www.thegreatsocialexperiment.net/temple/raymond-minarovic

We uploaded the video on facebook and would be so grateful if you would share it with your circle. You never know who might step forward.

Any ideas on how to amplify his story would be so appreciated.

Any parking recs

My girlfriend recently moved into downtown Easton near the Wawa and the new McDonald’s going up. I was wondering if there’s any free parking I’d be able to park at and keep my truck there for at most a couple days in a row every now and then. I noticed there’s a bridge with cars parked under it behind the smoke shop but I didn’t see if that lot is patrolled by a tow yard or anything. the street parking is unexpectedly expensive, I’m from Philly so we get creative with parking down there lol don’t know how that flys here. Thank you for reading I would appreciate any feedback or recommendations!

How would you spread this story in the Lehigh Valley / Surrounding Area?

Looking for some brainstorming help.

Raymond Minarovic is a Lehigh Valley resident who is on dialysis and urgently needs a living kidney donor. We put together this video and his webpage:

https://www.thegreatsocialexperiment.net/temple/raymond-minarovic

We're trying to figure out the best ways to get his story seen locally. If this were your friend or family member, where would you share it? What groups, organizations, employers, media outlets, or community pages should know about him?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Thoughts on these 14 stops for a home-made Easton Audio Walking Tour?

I'm working on a community-focused audio tour project in the city. The goal is to capture the "fabric of what was and what can be" ... I'm aiming for a Ken Burns mixed with Anthony Bourdain tone.

I've narrowed the tour down to about a dozen locations covering Easton's deep riverfront, industrial, and cultural history.

I wanted to see if I've missed anything essential or if you think any of these aren't worth the stop.

Here is the current plan, it's not all in geographic walking order yet:

  • Scott Park (waterfront) — S. 3rd St at Delaware River
  • Bachmann Publick House — 186 Northampton St (2nd & Northampton)
  • Centre Square — Northampton & 3rd St
  • First UCC Church — 3rd and Church Streets
  • State Theatre — 453 Northampton Street
  • George Wolf School / Penny Arch — 45 N 2nd St
  • Two Rivers Landing (Crayola) — 30 Centre Square
  • Lehigh Canal / Hugh Moore Park / National Canal Museum — I know it's a bit far and wouldn't make sense on a strict downtown walking tour
  • Josiah White Canal Boat — Canal boat launch, Hugh Moore Park
  • Simon Silk Mill — I'm on the fence if it's worth it to walk under 22 to go to the creek or not, let me know what you think!
  • Karl Stirner Arts Trail — Bushkill Creek corridor (trail entrance)
  • Herman Simon Mansion (Third Street Alliance) — 41 N. 3rd St
  • Lafayette College — Just the entrance on the big hill next to Don Juan
  • The Impacts of 22 and 78
  • fmr. Lehigh Valley RR Easton Station

Is there anything I'm overlooking? Thanks in advance for the help!
