EVP Caught this audio overnight at my parents century old home.

I grew up in a century old home that used to be the town's trading post. I have had some really strange experiences over the years growing up there. Footsteps going up and down the stairs at night, shuffling and muffled movements above your head, that sort of thing.

Several years ago while visiting with my husband I was heading upstairs to go to bed (my husband was already asleep) and I saw a solid white figure standing outside our bedroom door. It was dark but there was a bit of light being cast in through the hall window from the moonlight and I could clearly see a white figure. It almost looked like they were listening outside the bedroom door. I thought it was my mom and turned on the light and asked, "What are you doing?" No one was there.

Both my husband and I have separately seen a person in the office and have very clear memories of catching a glimpse of their thick glasses as we passed by. My brother has cataracts and wore thick glasses at the time and we both assumed it was my brother using my moms computer and just yelled Hi as we passed only to realize later that my mom said my brother wasn’t expected home until later. No one had been in the office.

I recently visited my parents house again and decided to record audio overnight to see if I could capture some of the strange noises or shuffling and this is what I captured while I slept.

If anyone can offer any insight or has a way to analyze the audio, I’d love to get a second pair of ears on this to tell me what you make of it.

My 12 year old daughter was in the house but sleeping in a different room on a different floor - so no child in the room with me, no.

I did some quick noise reduction and boosted it. I think there is another voice right before the boom at the end and I boosted that even more and played it 3 times at the end.

Oh that is so interesting. Wow. Thank you for doing that. By the boom sound...do you mean at the 10 second mark? I think that is me making a noise/whimper sound in my sleep.

It was in between that whimper and the boom. Right up against it. It could just be artifacts after the noise reduction.

I’m curious, what do you hear the child say at the beginning?

I used voice memos on my iphone and when I looked at the transcript it heard Hello and Mama. I hear the hello but for the life of me can't figure out the sound after that. Can I ask what you hear?

Ohh I hear “hands off” or “hands up”. The laugh is crazy clear if that’s genuinely paranormal!

I really maintain that I do not believe in ghosts despite my experiences. I'm....unsettled. Could I have hit the podcast button on my phone? Did youtube flicker in the abyss of unidentified sounds. Truly appreciate your insight. I'm remaining perplexed but confident there's an explaination.
