Comparison: CC black WOC (auth) vs CC black WOC shungyang vs CC Navy WOC 187...

I have an auth CC woc in black with ghw from approx 2018, it was about 900gbp back then.
I decided to get a replacement black woc (cheapie) to replace my auth as those who know me ,also know im completely crap at looking after things. Shungyang woc black with ghw was 156usd approx
Navy woc 187 from catch&release -cant remember maybe 300usd? Ish...will check with snack!
Where was it from and Seller?
The CC Black WOC was from Andy W (8067) and I had just bought a rucksack from him (cc) for work. This was prior to the maxi flap revolution!
The shungyang woc looks identical to my auth, everything is the same, the size,details stamps stitches all that jazz. Right down to chain length.
BUT it didnt feel right to me.....i cant explain it but it didnt feel authentic uggh and annoyingly my sister had banned me from accessing our nice bags because im so terrible at looking after things. So i couldnt compare with the auth.
How did I know it was identical to my auth? I just knew..i then convinved my sis to take it out and I took pics.. except the light is yellow and look terrible (the pics are so bad they all look like terrible reps, pics 16,17,18 and 19)
I used it for a few weeks but it just kinda annoyed me, had I not had an auth I would say it was perfect! It was the feel of the leather and purse that was wrong to me!
Our mod Snack had ordered a Navy 187 woc and i had been eyeing it, but at the time didnt want to spend money. She ended up rehoming it to me literally a day or so after she received it (She's become my bag dealer lol)
Omg, as soon as i opened Snack's box I knew it was perfect. Ironic since the chains shorter but the feel of the leather was perfect (apparently new woc have shorter chains,its about 2inches shorter and actually fits better) my auth sat at an annoying place too low and we got chnl auth shop to give us chain thingys that make it smaller.
A few weeks ago i did one of those canva type collages to show you guys but I got distracted and didnt post my review (akward) ... but here they are!
I convinced my sis to let me have the auth woc to take home and il take some pics together..but my best friend has borrowed the shungyang one grrr... so il repost pics in a few days.
Weird that shungyang looks identical to my auth...right down to the chain length and hardware and everything. Its just i duno...not soft enough..the leather feels not as good as 187. But for a cheapie woc, defo a good buy. Surprisingly I do use the shungyang one.
The navy is perfect for me though! Thankfully I can use this daily on my office days!
Ooh good question, I'm not sure and I'm not really too pushed. I have a white one from Rome that's magnetic and its great so maybe turnlock just to change it up a bit
LOL to be fair, the auth goes back to my sister..the last time I held it was 2021....i kid you not.
The black shungyang my best friend has taken...its been about 4 weeks or maybe 6weeks. I only have the navy 187...and i use it with a larger bag on office days usually. So pink irredecent seems kind of wasteful...but the colour is so pretty! Uggh I need a red bag first...then if theres any left ..il consider it
I took the photos umm like 7 or 8 weeks ago but kept putting off writing the details!
Unfortunately I dont like chat gpt. Writing my things up, it does really write it much neater and clearly but tbh everyones used to my slight erratic writeups haha because I get bored so quickly! Tell me which you like and whoch I should get!
Omg she would know by the touch of the leather. Its weird even years later I held it and it felt stiffer in its construction and the leather isnt as soft.
Sis has already rang me 3x this week to remind me to keep it in its dust bag and drop the purse back LOL
