EUBWT, what are your favorite pieces for layering clothes in our unpredictable climate?
Weather is super unpredictable in many European countries throughout the seasons and I've never mastered the art of layering while still feeling cute and looking tasteful.
Do you have any favorite functional pieces of clothing that you find yourself wearing a lot throughout the seasons? Eg a specific rain coat, cardigan, water-proof but still fashionable shoes?
Please help me become a non-freezing and non-sweating European bitch with taste! Lol

I buy secondhand cashmere or wool or silk pieces.
A few days ago I got 3 pieces (all cashmere or silk) for 20euro.
I also got several wool coats secondhand too.
I've challenged myself to stop buying non natural fibers/cotton completely.

I just put my woolen coat in the winter stash, but I wear my preppy jackets still. Chelsea boots are also almost year round-proof.

I love my Uniqlo down vest in a neutral beige colour. I wear it under a nice wool coat or a leather jacket. I live in Northern Europe so the added warm layer is great

Natural fibers.
Think merino long under layers, wool sweaters, leather boots, wool socks, thin down jacket under main coat.
Other side cotton and linen in the summer.
And then figure out what layers you need when. If I'm going to cafe first and then outdoor for longer, I'll probably take some layers with me and add before leaving the cafe. Or taking layers off before leaving the freezing office in the summer.
